Battlefield Jiu Jitsu We specialize in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or BJJ, also known as Gracie Jiu Jitsu, and Self Defense. We also train kickboxing, judo and wrestling.

Our objective at Battlefield Jiu Jitsu is to provide you with high quality Martial Arts instruction in a safe, realistic and fun environment. Our teaching methods and curriculum are designed to allow a student to learn in a step-by-step modular fashion. Over the course of training a student will be gradually exposed to various techniques, training and skill sets to unleash their maximum potential in the Martial Arts and Self-Defense. You will receive individual guidance from our instructors as you master the basics and going forward as your skill level increases. A note on safety: We understand that not all students train for competition. Many just want to have fun, learn self-defense skills and get in great shape at the same time. That is why we place a strong priority on your safety. We use only the safest equipment and teaching methods available. Just because you may not want to step on a competitive grappling mat or in a cage and fight like an MMA Fighter, doesn't mean you can't train and receive the same health and fitness benefits! Battlefield Jiu Jitsu’s programs cater to both beginner and advanced level students from any walk of life. Whether you are a person looking to incorporate a fun, consistent workout and training regime into your life or a student wanting to increase your skills and knowledge of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Self-Defense, Battlefield Jiu Jitsu's program is for everyone.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the newest Black Belts from Battlefield Jiu Jitsu - Coach Keith and Doc James! These belts were so well deserved, and it was an awesome event to witness! Thank you to everyone that helped make this day happen and to both of their wonderful families for traveling (some from Brazil!) and showing up to support them and for everyone that was a part of their journey along the way… Thank you to Julius for flying out from Vegas and to our local black belts and gym owners that came out to support them as well!

🔥Save the Date! World ranked Diallo Braithwaite will be hosting not one, but two Jiu Jitsu seminars on October 10 at Battlefield Jiu Jitsu in Haymarket! The first is a Gi seminar for ages eight and up while the second is no Gi and limited to age 15 and older! Check out the details and mark your calendars… You can reserve your spot in advance or pay the day of the event… Anyone under the age of 18 will need a parent to arrive with them to sign the safety waiver!🤙🏻
