Face-Off Against Alzheimer's Series | Farmingdale vs Stony Brook

First annual college ice hockey rivalry series between the Stony Brook University (Seawolves), and the Farmingdale State College (Rams) to support and raise funds for those living with Alzheimer's & Dementia. This inaugural Best of 3 game series will pit Long Island rivals against one another, in pursuit of being crowned the Face-Off Against Alzheimer's Champion. Teams will also be raising funds through personal links, and game day initiatives for the Alzheimer's Association, who lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Don't miss one game of this incredible series, and join us in the Fight to End Alzheimer's.

Stony Brook Ice Hockey was proud to attend the League of Yes program this past Saturday!

Today we honor and remember all those who tragically lost their lives 25 years ago, including Stony Brook Ice Hockey Captain, Chris Panatier.

Chris Panatier spent four seasons as a center iceman for the Stony Brook Patriots. From 1983-1987, Panatier recorded 49 goals and 64 assists for a career total of 113 points. Panatier was a highly regarded member of Stony Brook Hockey, serving as co-captain for his final two seasons and winning team MVP in 1987. After graduation, he went into foreign exchange and worked for Cantor Fitzgerald in Tower One of the World Trade Center. Panatier was tragically lost in the terror attacks on September 11, 2001, though his legacy will live on forever.
