As an accomplished professional teaching artist, dancer and performer, Shane brings exceptional artistry, technical excellence, and invaluable industry experience into the classroom. This is a wonderful opportunity for our dancers to learn from an artist who has performed across concert dance and musical theatre. Pennsylvania Dance Institute welcomes Kristen Smith to the faculty this summer!

Kristen Smith attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia earning a BFA in jazz dance performance. She continued her professional career dancing for the Roxey Ballet Company and performing for many regional theaters including Bucks County Playhouse, Media Theatre, and Resident Theatre Company to expand her musical repertoire. She has served as a dance captain, choreographer, director, and dance instructor in elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and universities throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Kristen had the opportunity to work as an adjunct professor at her alma mater Uarts teaching various technique classes including ballet, jazz, tap, and theatre dance. Most recently, Kristen has been sharing her high energy and love of movement with Ballet X’s dance exchange program as a teaching artist for her second season this year. Her Regional credits include: Oklahoma, The King & I, 42nd Street, A Christmas Carol, Man of LaMancha, Cabaret, Me and My Gal, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Kiss Me Kate, Sweet Charity, Spamalot, Crazy For You, Carousel, Beauty and the Beast, Bullets over Broadway, and The Producers. Her passion is to provide for the arts community by nurturing the next generation of dancers.

Congratulations to Medha on her Arangetram! This milestone reflects years of dedication, discipline, artistry, and passion. It was a beautiful celebration.

We are so proud to celebrate this achievement with her and her family & friends. Pennsylvania Dance Institute & Dance Del Bello are honored to be a part of her dance journey. Wishing her continued success as she reaches new achievements in school, and the arts.
