The LFS event last night was great as always.
John lost in 1st round in his mma debut.
Travis won in 1st round to improve to 3-0 mma.

Yesterday Drive Mixed Martial Arts
lost an original family member, Eric Mentrup.
Eric and two other started Drive and shortly after that he was diagnosed with cancer and stepped away. He fought hard and beat it the first time. He would sporadically stop in and make surprise visits. This past year, though the cancer came back.
Eric was one of my first real MMA coaches and helped corner me in 4 of my first 5 fights before being diagnosed.
After being diagnosed I dedicated a handful of fights to him. The one time a group of us did the Polar plunge on New Year’s morning we wore green and made signs. It was so ungodly cold that time.
Eric was always quiet but would roar when he needed to for sure. He was a great coach and over the years. I still use a lot of what he put us through and taught us in the classes I teach every week.
He was always very stoic in pictures unless you got a few drinks in him then he would loosen up and smile but I had a way of getting him to cut loose and laugh without the drinks, maybe it was cause I would tickle him I don’t know.
He will be missed by many but I take comfort in knowing he has no more pain, no more meds and no more worry.
