Learn More About Gianna ⬇️

Gianna Daprai graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2025, where she received a B.S. in dance and environmental science. Raised in Lake Orion, MI, she trained in contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, modern, ballet, and tap at local dance studios and was on the Lake Orion Varsity Dance Team in high school. In 2022, she was a founding member of NMU’s collegiate dance company, Co/Lab Dance Company, and was the president of the student committee from 2023-2025. Through training at Elevate Dance Company and her education at NMU, Gianna refined her artistry in contemporary choreography. Her style is defined by raw expression and contrasting dynamics. She has choreographed multiple contemporary pieces for collegiate productions, some of which were featured at the North Coast Dance Festival (2023) and the Detroit Dance City Festival (2024). Gianna performed in many shows in college including Cabaret (Lulu), The Producers (ensemble), Co/Lab Dance Company (2021, 2023, 2024, 2025), The North Coast Dance Festival (2023), and Alice In Wonderland (Cheshire Cat, ensemble). While a student, she was heavily involved in the Department of Theatre and Dance as a representative on the Student Advisory Board, a house manager, and marketing assistant. After graduating college, She was selected as a choreographer for the Wildcat Performing Arts Academy in 2025, and continued performing through Northern Sky Dance and Fitness in Marquette.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this magical show to life and thank you to everyone who joined us in paying tribute and celebrating the musicians, songs & movies that have inspired us all!
