The Melges 24 Worlds are officially underway in Harbor Springs! Registration, measurement and launching are happening throughout the weekend as teams get ready for racing to begin Tuesday afternoon. ⛵️

A big thank you to all of the volunteers making it happen — come down to the shore Tuesday to watch the action!

Members, don’t forget the Sailor Member Mingle this Wednesday from 5-7 at LTYC.

Mighty Mary ⛵️ opens this Friday, 9/18 and plays daily through Thursday, 9/24. Then there will be a additional show time at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, 9/25 in Theater 1 (200 Seats) so participants in the U.S. Melges 24 Class WC & Little Traverse Yacht Club can attend. A portion of ticket sale proceeds from the Friday show will be donated to Little Traverse Sailors & is sponsored by Irish Boat Shop 👏🏻

Narrated by Elizabeth Banks and Hugh Jackman, directed by award-winning documentary filmmaker (and Olympian) Mary Mazzio, and produced by Mazzio along with Allison Abner (writer for Narcos, West Wing, Imperfect Women) and Atlanta Hawks owner and NBA All-Star, Grant Hill, in partnership with Skydance Sports and Paramount’s Republic Pictures, Mighty Mary chronicles an amazing group of “we eat nails for breakfast” type of women: the first all-women’s sailing team to contend for the famed America’s Cup, the holy grail for one of sport’s most elite and exclusive racing events. 🍿🧂🍷🍫🥤
