This started out as a joke with friends and quickly snowballed into filling a nitch. I've been a fisherman all my life and a surf caster and a jetty ju**ie for the last 12. Growing up in mid-Sussex county, I have been around the saltwater for was long as I can remember. When I say this show goes on the road I ain’t lying. 4 flights, a few hundred in rods and tackle and the only thing I could manage off the San Diego surf was a small mackerel. Just not enough time to fish hard on this trip but victory was mine

Late night finger mullet rigs. 12 on a three-way, 12 prep'd for fish finders. 80 # mono leader to a 2" float, riding 278 # Malin Stainless steel hard wire rigging. Topped off with a Mustad 3/0 double limerick hook.
Well, didn't fulfill my goal as anticipated but did post a few fish over the last few days. With all the negativity in the world today, we could all use a few more fish to mellow the mood. They weather is going to be s**t the next few days, the water will be turned up and the tides are going mid day. Glad I'm back on duty for that but I'd go if I wasn't. Those putting in the time are reaping the rewards though. Black drum on clams, blues on bunker/mullet/anything with a hook when they blitz the surf. Soak some bait, throw a spoon and wait. They've got to come by eventually. Until next time, tight lines
