Sean and I finally got a chance to race head to head at the P1 Entertainment Complex while visiting family down under. I got the faster lap time, but genuinely struggled to find a way past on track wheel to wheel. Great facility for indoor racing (or golf sims) for anyone in town. Cadet and adult karts.

We also visited the old F1/ current V8 Supercars circuit, then had dinner at one of Senna’s favourite restaurants in the city.

The opening laps of the 2026 ChampCar Endurance Series Old Dominion Enduro day 2 at Dominion Raceway in Spotsylvania Virginia in the NA 1.8 Maniac Motorsports #90 Miata.

The race started reverse pit order, so the front of the field was all Miatas, with us in 5th. The video only lasts a few laps before a collision between our friends at JCM Motorsport and a mustang brought out the tow vehicles and reset the race.

It was a cautious start after mechanical failure on Saturday lost us a lot of track time, and the the track itself was very cold and green. All drivers were still learning a car they hadn't driven before (but was impeccably prepared). The team went on to finish 2nd in class, less than a pitstop behind the winner. More footage and highlights from the rest of the event to come soon.

All gave some, some gave all.

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning. We will remember them.

Lest we forget.

That kind of weekend…

Didn’t get to use it yesterday, but Sean will be rocking a tribute helmet this year.

Had a great weekend racing with again. It’s always been a great series and the opportunity to race with them at - a fun, fast, technical drivers track - was a combination I couldn’t refuse.

It was great to race in ’s meticulously prepped Miata. He put together an impeccable car that ran fast and near flawlessly. Even better to finally get to race alongside longtime friend and colleague and our new, young team mates did an incredible job given their experience and the improvement over the weekend was impressive. Was also fantastic to catch-up with a number of old teammates throughout the weekend.

Finally, great to walk away with a 2nd in Class A on Sunday. The preparation and car management was by far the biggest factor, and Zack deserves most of the credit for the result. But it’s even more impressive given several of the drivers had never raced wheel to wheel before, and 2x had never driven a manual car before. Can’t wait to see what this team does with more time to gel.

Back on track, back in black.

We’re coming back to enduro racing. Back to . Back to . And we’re back in a miata - by joining the for the Old Dominion Enduro, March 14-15.

It feels like it was only a matter of time until we found ourselves in a Maniac Miata.

Who’s up for trying to score a schoey? We may still have seat or two open, so hit us up if you want to get in on the action.

That’s a wrap for the season. It didn’t go the way we had hoped it to, but we achieved our most important goals. This was always planned as a learning season for Sean, and while the bigger/ more powerful chassis - and the different driving style it required - took some time, he improved in leaps and bounds every event and is well positioned for a competitive season next year.

Most important to that: there’s now a real strong cohort of kid kart drivers at who are friends off track and push each other on it. This is how kids develop, and really the strong kid class cadre in recent years has pushed the baseline forward: fast a few years ago is now minimum requirement for competitiveness now. Looking forward to seeing all these kids develop alongside each other in the years to come.

Otherwise it was a great year spending time together, with old friends and meeting new ones.

Thanks to those who helped throughout the year, and to .motorsports.media and .r.usz.o.n for the on track pictures.

See you all next season.

First Kid Kart race at United Karting in a 206 Cadet chassis 11/13/2025

New vid drop!

We’re behind on posting videos from this seasons for a variety of reasons, but we have a couple close to finished. To start with, here’s Sean’s first race in his “new” kid-kart-spec 206 powered Compkart cadet.

After a full refresh of the chassis (it’s Zoe’s old one) during the off season, we had a couple of practice sessions then turned up to the first race at United Karting for his first event in it. A small field was great for his first experience of a rolling start and while he was still getting to grips with the new setup (it took several events to get him to hold the throttle open around the whole lap).

As you’ll see, it’s been a Tough season of “Learnings”, but you’ll see Thogh the coming videos how he developed race to race ready for a competitive season next year. e
