โœจ Season 15, Episode 5 | Finding Joy Without Doing More โ˜€๏ธ

If Episode 4 was about giving yourself permission to rest, Episode 5 is about giving yourself permission to enjoy. ๐Ÿ’›

Because wellness isn't only about managing stress, moving your body, eating well, or getting enough sleep.

It's also about asking:

What actually brings me joy?

Not what looks good on Instagram.
Not what everyone else is doing.
Not another thing to add to your summer bucket list.

But the people, places, experiences, and little moments that make you feel present, connected, energized, and like yourself.

โœจ In Episode 5, we're talking about:

๐Ÿค The difference between pleasure + deeper joy
๐Ÿค Why joy matters for our physical + emotional well-being
๐Ÿค How comparison pulls us out of the present
๐Ÿค What drains you vs. what energizes you
๐Ÿค Creating your own Joy Audit + Joy List
๐Ÿค Experiencing joy without guilt

One question I hope you take with you:

What actually brings YOU joy?

Sometimes creating more joy doesn't require doing more.

It requires noticing more. โ˜€๏ธ

โœจ Teacher Spotlight! ๐Ÿ’™

Behind every class is a teacher who brings their own energy, experience, and personality to the studio...and we're so grateful for each one of them!

This week, we're shining the spotlight on one of our incredible instructors! ๐ŸŒŸ Shannon๐ŸŒŸ

Whether they're helping you find your strongest Hundred, offering the perfect cue at just the right moment, or making you laugh through those challenging exercises, they remind us that Pilates is about more than movement; it's about connection.

๐Ÿ’™ Get to know them a little better!

๐Ÿ‘‡ Share some love in the comments:
โ€ข Have you taken one of their classes?
โ€ข What's your favorite thing about them?
โ€ข Did you learn something new from their fun facts?

Our teachers are the heart of Opal, and we couldn't do what we do without their passion, knowledge, and dedication to helping our community move and feel better every day.

Let's hear it for our amazing team! ๐Ÿ‘โœจ

โ˜€๏ธ GOODBYE, AUGUST. YOU WERE GOOD TO US. ๐Ÿ’›

To the long days.
The bare feet.
The dinners outside.
The vacations, staycations + spontaneous plans.
The later bedtimes and slower mornings.
And all those little moments we wished could last just a little longer.

August always feels a little bittersweet.

We're still soaking up summer, but we can feel the shift coming. ๐Ÿ‚

Schedules are filling back up. Routines are returning. The days are slowly getting shorter.

But before we rush into what's next, let's take a minute to appreciate what this month gave us.

The fun.
The rest.
The memories.
The sunshine.
The connection.
The JOY.

And maybe we don't have to leave all of that behind just because the calendar turns to September.

Keep taking the walk.
Keep making time for your people.
Keep leaving space for fun.
Keep choosing what makes you feel good.
And don't forget to book you September Opal sessions.

Goodbye, August. โ˜€๏ธ

We're taking the JOY with us. ๐Ÿ’›

Tell us below ๐Ÿ‘‡ What's one thing you're grateful for from August?

โœจ It's , and Iโ€™m all about affirmations today! ๐ŸŒฟ Here are a few of my absolute faves:

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป I am becoming stronger in ways I cannot always see.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป My wellbeing is worth making times for.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Every small step forward matters.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป I choose kindness for myself today

๐Ÿ‹ **THE FINAL SUMMER RECIPE | Lemon Coconut Chia Pops**

And we're ending our Summer Recipe Series with something that might be even more important than another โ€œhealthyโ€ recipe:

**DESSERT.** โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ‹

Because here's your reminder as summer winds down:

**You don't need to detox from summer. You need to enjoy it.**

No โ€œgetting back on track.โ€
No earning your food.
No making up for the ice cream, vacation, cocktails, cookouts, or late-night pizza.

Just nourishment, movement, pleasure, and a little more trust in your body. ๐Ÿค

# # # ๐Ÿ‹ Lemon Coconut Chia Pops

**You'll need:**
โ€ข 1 can full-fat coconut milk
โ€ข 2 tbsp chia seeds
โ€ข Juice + zest of 1 lemon
โ€ข 1โ€“2 tbsp maple syrup
โ€ข ยฝ tsp vanilla
โ€ข Fresh berries, optional

**MAKE IT:**
Whisk everything together and let it sit for 10โ€“15 minutes to thicken slightly. Pour into popsicle molds, add a few berries if you like, and freeze until solid.

Then eat one outside.
Slowly.
Enjoy it.

Because **wellness isn't about being perfect. It's about being present.**

And maybe that's the best thing we can take with us from summer. โ˜€๏ธ
