Beginning hip hop classes have been a lot of fun!

They have been introduced to the cross step, step ball change, step touch, bouncing, rocking, isolations, the Steve Martin, Bart Simpson, running man, the wave, and cabbage patch!

We are combining skills together in combos and coming up with choreography using what they’ve learned while thinking about hip hop principles.

When no one else shows up to do Tiny Tumblers, a squishy friend makes for a wonderful audience and an adventurous pal.

Going forward it’s hard to say whether Tiny Tumblers will continue. Maybe I’ll wait until the weather changes. I wish parents knew how good this type of class is for their child’s development, not just physically, but mentally too. Since this is structured as a learn and play, kids can navigate the room and equipment at their own pace. Kids can learn socializations skills, balance, coordination and build strength!

What timing is best for you? I’d love to see these classes full of littles ages 16 months-3 years!

Our little witches in training have asked when this was going to happen again since we did it last year😆.

Next session we start practicing! Who’s in? Watch your kiddo, or join them!

Wear your own witch costume, or we have limited sizing available for purchase through the studio.

*This will require 30 minutes in-person rehearsal time as a group per week. A link can be sent to also practice on your own at home. We will try to best fit everyone’s schedules!

I’m loving hip hop for our kids🤩🙌🏻

In hip hop I’m teaching fundamentals, plus meshing everything into combos. They are loving the new routine to the Slushie song.

The wonderful part about hip hop is, once you learn the bounce, articulate and make the shapes, work in levels to the beat, you can add your own flare to the movements.🙌🏻

Today kids were already gaining the confidence to choreograph next steps to the routine they learned. Based on what they were incorporating, I could tell they were getting the concepts I was emphasizing today. Woohoo!🫶🏻🤩The Village Studio GualalaThevillagestudiodancedanielleDanielle Warner
