When she’s not spending her summer working in the cabin at Trapper John’s, Crystal is a first grade teacher — and now, a published children’s book author! 📚

This morning, she was interviewed by 10TV about her new book she wrote this summer, “Tabby Kitty Adventures: Itty and the Storm” and we couldn’t be more excited for her. We’re pretty lucky to have some seriously talented people on the Trapper John’s crew.

Due to rapidly rising creek levels, unfortunately we have to close the livery today. We’re just as bummed as you are but our customers safety will ALWAYS be our top priority. What a crazy year for weather we’ve had!😅

The cafe is still open! Come grab a drink and a cookie and chat with your favorite local gondolier, serving coffees and goodies until 3:30pm. Fingers crossed we’ll be able to get out on the water tomorrow! 🤙🏼🛶🇺🇸

The Altogether Adventure® award celebrates experiences that bring our community together while creating something unique and memorable for visitors. To say we’re honored is an understatement.

When we took on Trapper John’s, our goal was never just to rent canoes and kayaks. We are honored to carry on the legacy and preserve a piece of Grove City history, get more people outside, introduce new families to Big Darby Creek, and create a place our community could make memories and be proud of.

And the fact that you all voted for us makes this one extra special. ❤️

This Monday, August 10th, we’ll be CLOSING EARLY so our crew can trade in a day of launching boats for a little time relaxing on the creek!

We’ll be OPEN at 9:00 AM, with adjusted last departure times:

🛶 Lower Trip: Last boats out at 11:30 AM
🛶 Sampler Trip: Last boats out at 1:00 PM
Everyone off the water by 3:30pm
