Another great parent post about their experience with our club! Thank you to Whitney Arnett for sharing:

“Reflections from our first AAU Jr. National tournament last week and this season as a whole …

Why am I still thinking about this ????

Because- the grit and determination of this team is still impressing me days later. They never gave up. Over and over again this season, they had incredible come from behind runs to win their sets and matches. They battled. They celebrated.

Orlando was special bc they talked and listened on the court. They trusted each other. They believed in each other and backed each other up on the court. And it was so fun to watch.

Another thing I can say about this team and its parents is that there was no drama. Hard to imagine in this day, but it’s true. The girls got along on the court and off. Families became friends. Dances, handshakes, routines before each game btw them and Coach Paul. Encouragement when mistakes were made and celebrations for the successes.

And it was fun to watch this team come together and mature over the past 8 months.

And I’m sad that it’s over. But I see big, bright futures ahead for them all.” - Whitney Arnett

We love seeing parent posts about their experience with our club! Thank you to Hope Grumbles for sharing:

“Mallory’s third AAU tournament in the books. And while they didn’t win it all, I couldn’t be prouder of Mallory or more thankful for this team and the village of all the families involved.

Finished 21st out of 163 teams. Never quit. Losses were against amazing teams (one ended up finishing second, one ended up winning our consolation (silver) bracket, and two ended up in the top 5).

Hands down our best experience to date. And the bonus of having Pritham there to photograph Mallory and capture these memories was priceless!” - Hope Grumbles

Our 15 Premier team (Coach Paul), represented Excell Sports in outstanding fashion at AAU Nationals, finishing 21st out of 163 teams in one of the most competitive events of the season.

Three of our four losses came against teams that advanced to the Gold Bracket, including the tournament runner-up. Match after match, our athletes proved they belonged on the national stage, competing with confidence against some of the best teams in the country.

They trusted each other, embraced every challenge, fought for every point, and continued to grow throughout the tournament. The experience they gained this week will stay with them long after Nationals.

Coach Paul has poured countless hours into this group, and watching this team compete is a reflection of what he built.

Congratulations to our players, Coach Paul, and our amazing families for an unforgettable week. We are proud of each of you for the incredible season and work you put into it.
