Some things are bigger than baseball.
Today, before worrying about wins, losses, hits or runs, our boys took a few minutes to sign a banner for a fellow 10U baseball player who is fighting for his life.

Just one week ago, he was involved in a deevastating car accident that took the lives of his mom, dad and little sister. He remains in critical condition.

It’s almost impossible to comprehend. One week you’re a kid playing baseball, surrounded by your family, teammates and coaches — and in an instant, your entire world changes.

We spend so much time around this game. We practice, compete, celebrate big plays, get frustrated over mistakes and sometimes treat the outcome of a baseball game like it’s the most important thing in the world.

Then something like this puts everything back into perspective.
Behind every player standing on that field is a family. Parents making sacrifices, driving to practices and tournaments, washing uniforms, sitting in the stands and cheering for their kid. Those are the things we can never take for granted.

Today these boys weren’t competitors. They were just a group of kids showing support for another kid who needs every bit of it right now.

Baseball will be played again tomorrow. There will always be another game, another tournament and another opportunity to compete.
But this weekend is about something much bigger than baseball.

Please keep this young man in your thoughts and prayers as he continues to fight. ❤️⚾🙏

First tournament for our 9U Hit House/Ghost team, and these boys battled all weekend and pulled it off — winning an absolute thriller 15-14 in the Championship! ⚾🔥

New team. Same expectations.

A few big-time performances:
🔥 Griffin “G-Man” DeSerio led the way in the championship, going 2-for-3 with 4 RBIs!

🔥 Hank Moore had a heck of a weekend on the mound, slinging the rock for 4 innings with 5 strikeouts and only 2 earned runs!

🔥 Griff DeSerio was on another level at the plate all weekend, hitting .800 with 4 doubles, 1 triple and 8 RBIs!
Awesome way to start things off for this group. These boys competed, kept fighting, and found a way to bring home the hardware!
