Today we are shining our instructor spotlight on Miss Emily!! ✨🩷🩵
Miss Emily is a dance educator with over 15 years of experience in instructing ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop techniques to students of all ages and skill levels. She has a passion of fostering artistic growth, technical precision, and performance excellence in both competitive and recreational settings. Dedicated to sharing the joy of dance with diverse populations, Miss Emily has taught at various studios, schools, and community centers, adapting her instruction to meet the unique needs and goals of each student.
🌟Favorite style to teach?
Between Tap and Jazz or hip hop for top favorites! Although she does love to teach the strong basic techniques of ballet.
🌟Fun fact
With over 60 different house plants her family and friends believe she should live in the jungle! 🪴
🌟When she’s not dancing…
You can find her running one of her 4 kids around to various activities (probably one of the ymca facilities), gardening or baking something sourdough and tending to her collection of house plants.

“Through my teaching, I strive to inspire a lifelong appreciation for the art of dance, while cultivating discipline, confidence, and self-expression in all my students.”
🌟Favorite IDS Memory:
“Although my time with IDS has been shorter, I still get chills thinking about watching the seniors performing one of their first duets while displaying that original duet on a stage screen at the same time. The love and dedication to each and every student is something that is so strong within the IDS family.”
🌟Dream Vacation: A white sand beach with a book in hand!🏝️
🌟Bucket List: Reading 100 books in a year (at least 300 pages per book)! 📚
🌟Favorite Post Class Treat: Ice cream. 🍦
🌟Go-to Drink Order: A Lavender Vanilla Iced Chia Latte with a shot (or 2) of espresso.☕️
