An incredibly well-contested match, but Augusta/Akron comes out on top as the Shield Champion, thanks in large part to a huge penalty save at the last whistle.

The all-Atlanta camogie Final was canceled to avoid injury prior to World Games in Waterford. Either way, Atlanta GAA takes the GVL Camogie Cup home. Well deserved after a dominating day.

#1 Greenville 7-10 vs. #3 Raleigh 0-4

No mincing words, a monumental accomplishment for the Greenville Gaels. #1 seed, 4-0 on the day, winning one of the best competitions the USGAA Southeast Division has to offer. The Gaels have experienced a lot of ups and downs along the way, especially over the last 4-5 years. They're a club celebrating their 15th anniversary while never having won their home tournament, until now. It was the Gaels day, and we at AH couldn't be more proud to call Greenville home. Congrats to the boys.

And, more importantly, thanks to everyone who traveled to Greenville to make this year's event a huge success. It's a massive undertaking, but we do it to see the passion, pride, and smiles on the faces of the players and clubs who know what the GVL Cup stands for. Thank you all, and we'll see you on May 22, 2027 for the next installment.

For the first time in history, the Greenville Gaels, S.C. Hurling and Gaelic Football have won the 2026 GVL Hurling Cup. This is not a drill. Queue up the highest order of shenanigans!

Atlanta GAA takes the camogie Cup, Atlanta LGFA takes the series from Raleigh, and the Augusta Gaelic Sports Club / Akron Hurling team won the Hurling Shield on an impeccable save at the death, up 2 points.

Less than 24 hours until our favorite tournament of the year gets rolling! The GVL Cup, presented by yours truly, American Hurling! The schedule is set and the venue is undergoing final preparations as we speak. Now all that's left is to see how the competition plays out on the fields tomorrow.
