Thatā€™s a wrap for the 2026 bear season. Not the harvest numbers we would have expected, although week 2 the bears went totally nocturnal. Week 1 (two hunters): four bears seen, one harvested by a first time hunter (12 y/o), the other hunter watched two bears fight, although couldnā€™t get a shot. Week 2 (two hunters): no sightings. Week 3 (two hunters): one hunter saw 3 bears and this bear was filmed by the other. Both hunters passed on all 4. They will be bigger for next yearā€™s hunting season. 8 sightings total. Sometimes the big boys just donā€™t want to cooperate. We will be ready for them again next year. Thanks to all that booked with us and we hope to see you again.

Hope everyone had a great 4th! We had a nice family gathering on Saturday, then went fishing today with my better half and R***r šŸ¾ in his Independence Day attire. We caught 4 lake trout, 2 salmon, and another beautiful 17ā€ brook trout. All but one lake trout are still swimming. Book your charter now, before Veronica catches all the fish! šŸŽ£
