He is quite simply one of the ALL-TIME guys in this building who define *THE STANDARD*, when it comes to PREPARATION, INTENT & COMPETE. We’ve been blessed to watch him, work with him, cheer for him, since he was a little boy. He’s overcome a lot in the last 18 months. We are so proud & so pumped that the Seattle Mariners drafted him yesterday in the 2026 MLB Draft. They got a great one! Congratulations MATTHEW MATTHIJS and family!!!

Congratulations to the Pitt County Girls Softball League 11U ALL-STARS for capturing the North Carolina 11U Little League 🥎State title this weekend. With the win, they now advance to the 11U Southeast Regional in Clarksville, TN July 30-Aug 2. Way to go girls and we’ll be following!

BOOM! Warner Robins, GA….July 17-22…Our Pitt County 12U All-Stars will be there as Team NC!

LET’S GOOOOO! PCGSL 12u All-Stars defeated Rowan 6-2 tonight to become the NC State representatives in the Southeast Regional in Warner Robbins, GA!!!

-ALEC BURLESON, St Louis Cardinals. Putting together an All-Star caliber season. Among ALL MLB 1st basemen, he is 2nd in RBIs, 2nd in Hits, 4th in Doubles & has the 2nd lowest K rate!
-GAVIN WILLIAMS, Cleveland Guardians, Having an All-Star caliber season. Tied for the 3rd most pitching wins in all of MLB, 4th in all of MLB in Strikeouts with 134.
-SHANE RADEMACHER, AA Richmond, VA (SF Giants Org)….20 Appearances on the season, 31K/14BB, .236 batting avg against.
-DIXON WILLIAMS, A+ Rome, GA (Atlanta Braves Org) 10 HR, 46 RBI, 17 SB.
-TANNER DUNCAN, Frontier League Down East Bird Dogs (Kinston, NC)….Team-Leading 5 Saves.
-ALEXIS HASTINGS, Professional Softball League, KC Diamonds….Hitting .353 on the season.

Pretty cool moments in here earlier this week as our 10U & 11U PCGSL ALL-STARS prepare for their upcoming Little League State Tournaments…JAYLA HEARP, a redshirt senior ECU women’s 🏀 player and LACIE EASTWOOD, former Farmville Central & current Meredith College 🥎, came to speak to the girls and share some knowledge on mindset & words of encouragement with them.

We are pumped to celebrate HAYDEN WILLOUGHBY’S college commitment last month to NC A&T⚾️. The DH Conley rising senior had an excellent junior school season, with an OPS over .900, batting .342 with 10 extra base hits. A catcher by trade, he’s continued to shine on the summer circuit. NC A&T is getting a very physical player, who we have really enjoyed getting to know, work with & watch continue to Develop. (pictured here in my office just hanging & chatting during downtime of a PBR event here😊). Looking forward to continue following Hayden in his senior high school season and then as he joins the Aggie program next Fall! Congratulations again to Hayden & his family!
