Was a good opening day of rifle in western Pa WMU 2C for our Dust Off Team - 2 junior hunters with a spike and a 3 point and as we were teaching 1 how to gut his first deer and the importance of remaining quiet and attentive, a nice 10 point chased a doe nearby

Well no bear this season, but our group did have a cool encounter with a beautiful bull elk!

November 14 - mid-day hunt in 2C Westmoreland County. I have been on this 10-point buck for approximately a week and finally harvested it at 44 yards, with the buck traveling 30 yards before collapsing. Special thanks to Dust Off Member Brenton Piper for the assist in recovery.

First week of archery in Southwestern Pa is in the books and we are starting to see some pre rut action on the trail cams… We’d like to give Nelson's Arrows a shout out for getting this new Hoyt ready for the season.
