Christie has helped build the cheer program from the beginning. We could not do it without her!

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to announce that this will be my third year with Heat cheerleading and my fifth-year coaching! I've always loved cheerleading, and I'm so happy that there's now a homeschool option for it! Education is super important to me and I hope to inspire strong athletes as well as students in their studies on and off the court.

I was homeschooled myself throughout my educational career, and I'm currently pursuing my master's at Liberty University in Clinical Mental Health. I love making bows, designing accessories for theme nights, and building relationships with my cheerleaders! Can’t wait for a great season, LETS GO HEAT!

Coach Lisa

My name is Lisa Stubblefield and this will be my second year coaching cheer for NC HEAT!

I am a Greensboro native and my younger years were filled with cheer, dance, and gymnastics - both participating in these myself and coaching them. I have degrees in Psychology and Political Science from UNC-Chapel Hill and worked in the mortgage industry before becoming a stay-at-home mom when my oldest was born in 2012. I serve on the Board of our homeschool co-op, Friendly Educators, and am the Secretary of our neighborhood organization. We have been homeschooling from the time my oldest was in preschool!

My hobbies include reading, baking, cheering on my Tar Heels, planning field trips and other fun events for our homeschool groups, and spending time with my family - my husband, my 13 year old son, and my almost-10-year-old daughter (who will also be cheering for the HEAT for her second year). My family attends First Baptist Church of Summerfield and my relationship with Jesus is the most important thing in my life!

So excited for another year of watching these girls shine! Let's go, HEAT! 📣❤️

This season we welcome Jamie!

Hi! My name is Jamie, and I am honored to be one of the coaches this year for NC Heat Cheer! My daughter, Jovie, cheered with this awesome squad last season, and is excited to get back to it! I was a cheerleader in middle school and high school, and I also did a season of all-star cheerleading (waaaay back in the 1990’s😜)! I have a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Texas State University, and I have been married for 21 years to my husband, Todd (a former Marine and Texas Aggie, and current IT channel/partner sales manager). We also have a son, Asher, whom you will be seeing around at practices and games.

This will be our 5th year homeschooling, and we feel so blessed to be able to learn together at home! We are still fairly new to the area after moving to North Carolina from Texas in 2025. I have lived all over the country (and world): Northern and Southern California, Wyoming, Indonesia, Central and Southeast Texas, Colorado, Nevada, and briefly in Ohio. We felt like God called us here, and we have felt at home since we moved to this gorgeous state❤️. I love Jesus, family time, cooking and baking, traveling, and random trivia! I am so excited to get to coach this sweet team alongside this great group of women, and to get to know each cheerleader this year! This is going to be an awesome season!!📣
