Wren's Nest Family Yoga at RADYO 😍

Incredibly honored to teach yoga to 70 middle school and high school + young men. For many of these students, this was their very first yoga class. They showed up just as they are…no yoga mats…no yoga clothes…and that didn’t hold them back from practicing for 90-minutes. They came ready to do the work and open to creating possibilities in their lives and with one another. I’ll forever cherish this class. Thank you for inviting me to share in such a special weekend with these young leaders.

I’ve worked diligently over the past 3.5 years to pay off our Wren's Nest Economic Injury Disaster Loan from 2020. I have a bit of mixed feelings as I feel proud of the steps I’ve taken to pay off this loan that I hoped would help me save our brick-and-mortar kids & family yoga studio. I also feel a deep sense of loss as my efforts were not successful.

In August 2021, I let go of our beautiful studio space that Jeffrey Page, Sophia Wren, and I poured our heart and soul into to create a safe haven for families to Grow. Dream. Discover. by using the tools of mindfulness, meditation, and yoga. We only had 10 months in the space when our doors were abruptly closed due to the pandemic business closures.

Within those 10 months, we created magic + miracles, a sense of togetherness, and the kids & families that walked through our doors said they felt a immediate sense of peace. We created a home away from home. A place for kids to play yoga, grow kindness, and be authentic.

Owning a small business is a labor of love and a sacrifice to be in the service of others.

It’s worth it.

I trust that in the 10 months that our physical studio doors were open that children & families were positively impacted and learned tools that they will carry for a lifetime. I’m also grateful that Wren’s Nest goes beyond brick-and-mortar walls and is vibrantly alive within our community as a mobile studio with partnerships that allow me to play yoga within schools, homes, businesses, nonprofits, and city parks.

Today is a big day. I’m grateful for all my committed, dedicated, consistent steps that I’ve taken to get to this moment of a ‘Paid in Full’ Covid-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan. To everyone that rallied around me, my family, and Wren’s Nest to support our kids & family yoga studio, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
