šŸ’Ŗ THIS is what progress looks like. ā¤ļø

And it doesn’t always show up on the scale.

Sometimes progress is realizing your body can do something today that it couldn’t do before.

šŸ”„ Sandi: Plyometric jumping movements used to bother her knees. She kept working, got stronger, built up her lower body—and now she’s doing those same jumps with no problems at all!

šŸ”„ Cathy: When she started with us over a year ago, she couldn’t do ONE burpee. Now? She’s knocking them out like a champ. šŸ™Œ

šŸ”„ Cameron: During single-arm dumbbell snatches today, she started with 25 lbs. Then she decided to grab the 30…and absolutely ROCKED it. šŸ’Ŗ

THIS is why we train.

To move better.

To get stronger.

To do the things that used to feel impossible.

And sometimes, to have that moment when you realize…

ā€œWait. I’m stronger than I thought.ā€ ā¤ļø

We’re so proud of these ladies and all the work they’ve put in!

šŸ‘‡ Now we want to hear YOUR win:

What’s something you can do now that you couldn’t do when you first started?

Big or small—drop it in the comments so we can celebrate with you! šŸŽ‰

Common Ground Fitness is excited to announce the addition of our newest personal trainer in training, Rachel Rondeau!

You’ll start seeing Rachel assisting with coaching in our StrongHER Small Group Training sessions as she works toward completing her ACE Personal Trainer certification. Once certified, Rachel will be a wonderful addition to our Common Ground coaching family, offering 1:1 personal training and helping us add more sessions to our growing StrongHER program.

Here’s a little more about Rachel, in her own words:

I’m a full-time automotive damage appraiser and auto body shop manager, a proud mom of a recent high school graduate, and a dog mom of two/doodle lover.

I found and fell in love with running about 15 years ago. Shortly after, I learned that strength training was the best stress-management tool for me. I learned that the progress I made running and the gains from strength training empowered me and made me feel strong, both physically and mentally.

I was a personal training client for three years, learning about proper form, how to modify for injuries…and really, learning more about what I was capable of. I had continually expressed interest in getting certified and helping others the way Nadya helped me.

I decided to start small by creating a family bootcamp. I started coaching nine of my family members, from ages 14–75, learning along the way. The positive reaction from my family helped push me to sign up for the ACE Certified Personal Trainer course.

I plan to be certified by January 2027!

We’re so excited to have Rachel taking this next step with us and to watch her grow from a longtime personal training client into a coach herself. Her own experience discovering how much stronger and more capable she was than she realized is exactly what we hope to help others discover through StrongHER and personal training at Common Ground. Please help us welcome Rachel to the coaching team!

You’ve probably heard the name HYROX.

But what actually IS it?

Think running meets strength, endurance and functional fitness — with an actual finish line to train for.

And we’ve been doing some research…

We’re exploring the possibility of Common Ground becoming an official HYROX Training Club and bringing coached HYROX training right here to Greenfield.

But before we make any decisions, we want to know if there’s actually interest in our community.

Maybe you’ve already done a HYROX.

Maybe it’s on your bucket list.

Maybe you have ZERO interest in racing but this style of training sounds right up your alley.

Or maybe this is the first time you’ve ever heard the word HYROX.

We want to hear from all of you.

šŸ”„ Would you be interested in HYROX training in Western Mass?

Comment OR DM us HYROX and we’ll send you our quick 2-minute interest survey.

No commitment. We’re just doing our homework and letting our community help us decide what’s next.

We’ve been exploring something new for Common Ground…

If you’ve heard of HYROX, you probably already know why it’s become one of the fastest-growing fitness competitions in the world.

If you haven’t? Think running + strength + functional fitness + a finish line to train for.

We’re currently researching whether becoming an official HYROX Training Club could be a fit for Common Ground. But before we make any decisions, we want to hear from YOU.

Would you be interested in:

šŸ”„ Training for your first HYROX
šŸ’Ŗ HYROX-style training even if you never plan to race
šŸƒ Adding strength to your running
šŸ‹ļø Having a new challenge or goal to train toward

We’re gathering interest now.

Comment or DM us HYROX to fill out our quick, 2 minute survey.

No commitment. We’re simply trying to find out…

Does Western Mass want HYROX?

You can find weights anywhere.

You can find treadmills anywhere.

You can find a place to work out almost anywhere.

But finding a place where you walk through the door and people are genuinely happy to see you?

That’s something different. ā¤ļø

Around here, there’s usually some talking before the workout starts.

There’s definitely going to be some laughing during it.

Sometimes there’s dancing between sets.

And sometimes we unintentionally show up dressed the same and become gym buddy twins.

We work hard.

We cheer each other on.

We spot each other.

We celebrate the wins.

And when someone’s working through that last hard rep, chances are someone else is right there reminding them they’ve got it. šŸ’Ŗ

Because getting stronger is important.

But so is actually enjoying the people you’re doing it with.

That’s the kind of community we’re building at Common Ground, and these little moments might just be our favorite part. ā¤ļø

šŸ‘‡ Tag your gym buddy. The one who makes showing up a whole lot more fun.

Meet Amy šŸ’Ŗ

ā€œI didn’t know what to expect prior to training with Kelly. I hadn’t been in a gym in decades, and never in my life lifted weights. From our first session together, I’ve felt not only comfortable and safe, but celebrated!

Kelly is kind, professional, and makes hard work fun. She challenges me in just the right way each class. I always leave feeling GREAT, along with new knowledge about physiology and nutrition.

There is an incredible feeling of camaraderie and support among the women in every small group I’ve attended. No matter your experience or age, this is a place for you!ā€

You don’t need weightlifting experience. You don’t need to already feel comfortable in a gym. And you’re definitely not ā€œtoo oldā€ to start getting stronger.

StrongHER Small Group Training is about meeting you where you are and helping you discover just how strong you can become, with expert coaching and a group of women cheering you on along the way.

šŸ’Ŗ Ready to take that first step?

Comment STRONG and we’ll send you all the details about StrongHER.

Let’s talk PROTEIN.

Most people know protein is important if you’re trying to build muscle, but that’s only part of the story.

Protein also supports recovery and can help meals feel more satisfying. And if you’re strength training, getting enough protein gives your body the building blocks it needs to repair and build muscle.

But here’s where people often get stuck:

Breakfast = coffee + toast
Lunch = something quick
Dinner = ALL THE PROTEIN

Instead of trying to cram most of your protein into one meal, start thinking about how you can include a good source of protein throughout your day.

And don’t make it more complicated than it needs to be.

Add Greek yogurt to breakfast.
Throw some chicken on your salad.
Keep cottage cheese or hard-boiled eggs handy.
Make a protein smoothie when you’re short on time.
Build dinner around your protein source.

Small choices, repeated consistently, add up.

That’s also a big part of our approach with Nourish & Thrive Nutrition Coaching at Common Ground. We’re not interested in giving you another restrictive diet you can’t maintain.

We want to help you build realistic nutrition habits that actually work with your life. ā¤ļø

šŸ“Œ Save this for your next grocery trip and follow us for more simple, realistic fitness and nutrition tips!

And tag a friend who could use some easy protein inspiration. šŸ‘‡
