Duck Creek Walleye Series

Today was a HUGE day for the Walleyes for Tomorrow – Bay of Green Bay Chapter.

The Walleyes for Tomorrow Board of Directors officially gave final approval to our reef project!

To say we are proud is an understatement.

Less than a year ago, we formed the Bay of Green Bay Chapter with a simple goal: to make a lasting difference in the Green Bay fishery that we all love.

That vision became a reality.

🪨 Three NEW spawning reefs will be added to the Fox River.

Even more special, these reefs will be named in honor of Preston Yindra. We couldn’t think of a better way to recognize someone who has meant so much to our fishing community and to the future of this incredible fishery.

Over the next month, we will purchase approximately 450 TONS of rock. This winter, that rock will be placed on the ice and ultimately become new spawning habitat for generations of walleyes to come.

Think about that for a moment…

450 tons of rock.
Three new spawning reefs.
Thousands upon thousands of future walleyes.
A legacy that will last for decades.

And we’re just getting started.

Our chapter hasn’t even been around for a year, and we already have another habitat project in the works.

This is about a group of people who care deeply about the Green Bay fishery and are willing to put in the time, effort and resources to protect it.

To the Walleyes for Tomorrow Board of Directors — THANK YOU for believing in our chapter and giving us the confidence to move this project forward.

To our members, sponsors, volunteers, guides, anglers and supporters — this is YOUR project. Without your support, none of this would be possible.

We aren’t just talking about the future of the Green Bay fishery.

We are building it.

And someday, when our kids and grandkids are catching walleyes on these reefs, they’ll never know the countless hours, phone calls, meetings, fundraising and hard work that went into making it happen.

But we’ll know.

And we’ll know it was worth every minute.

Here are all of the walleyes over 29 inches caught during the American 3Fab Fishing Tournament! Every one of these incredible fish was caught, photographed, and released to fight another day.

The Bay of Green Bay continues to be one of the best walleye fisheries anywhere, and it’s up to all of us to help keep it that way. Please consider releasing your larger walleyes so they can continue to spawn, grow, and provide unforgettable experiences for future generations of anglers.

Congratulations to Caleb Zblewski and Mike Matsche for landing the Johnson Pump Big Fish of the Day with an incredible walleye measuring just over 31 inches and weighing just over 12 pounds! 🏆🐟

Lincoln and Karl Martin captured the American 3Fab Tournament title with an incredible 53.6-pound, five-walleye limit! What an outstanding performance against a talented field.
