Summer CrossFit Kids has come to an end!
Coach Em’Lee did a fantastic job working with these young athletes to teach them the foundations for quality movement and having fun doing it! So much improvement throughout the summer and seeing the kids confidence grow was awesome to see!
The last class wrapped up all the skills and things they learned into a fun little “CrossFit competition”. Awesome job everyone!
Pictured are a handful of the kiddos that received their certificates!
CrossFit Kids will be back for the fall, we will send out more info soon!

Name and Age: Ian Wilson, 50
Nickname: Haven’t ever really had one, but during my military career everyone called me by my last name
Family: Wife Toni, Nolan 19, Carter 17
Pets: None, had many in my lifetime, maybe again some day
Hometown: I have lived most of my life in Green Bay, but was born in Manitowoc
Veteran: Yes, Army, 6th Infantry Div
Occupation: Architect
Favorite movements: It’s changed over the years. Now my favorite movement is the one that I know I can take advantage of to crush a workout. I am more excited about the strategy than any particular movement.
Least favorite movements: Right now it’s dubs and running coming off 3 knee surgeries
Biggest achievement: Taking my last drink over 20 years ago. Without that I wouldn’t exist.
Weekly routine: 5-7 days a week
Class: I’ve always been partial to 5:15, but have ventured out over the years. Extra training when time permits.
Interesting fact: I competitively threw knives and tomahawks as a child
Hobbies: Collecting National Parks with my family
Favorite Restaurant: Andy’s Jazz Club in Chicago
Workout music: Old-school Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, Tool, old-school rap—or anything else that hits hard and gets me fired up.
Reason I joined: I had lost my way on my fitness journey. I had tried all kinds of training and eventually landed on marathon running—until my knees stopped enjoying it as much as I did. One of my son’s autism therapists steered me toward CrossFit. I was humbled, addicted, and absolutely hated it—all at the same time.
Now, CrossFit is part of who I am. It has become one of the most enduring parts of my life, and along the way, most of you have become family. I love you all.
Closing Quote: Always look inward. Release the jealousy, hatred, and rage that tempt you to place blame elsewhere. Everything begins—and ends—within.

Hometown: New London, WI
Member Since: 2025. I also briefly joined back in 2016 when I first moved back here from CO, but then a whole lot of life happened for a while there.
Occupation: I’m a licensed professional counselor and own a small group private practice called Rabbit Holes Counseling.
Favorite movements: I’m a sucker for a heavy power clean. Never fails to make me feel a little badass.
Least favorite movements: Probably thrusters.
Biggest achievement:
Fitness wise=Coming back to CrossFit after a long break mostly fueled by some mystery chronic health issues. Mystery now solved, well controlled, and fitness is fun again. ☺️
Professionally=Taking a leap and starting my private practice in 2022.
Life in general=Being a mom to my boys.
Weekly routine: I shoot for M/W/F classes here. I also try to go to yoga once a week, and recently started a ballet class on Wednesday nights.
Class: I walked into an 8:15 class some time during the winter of 2025 and that pretty much became home.
Interesting fact: I got my masters degree in Boulder, CO in mindfulness-based transpersonal counseling psychology from a Buddhist-founded university.
Hobbies: gardening, embroidery, yoga, dance, CrossFit, reading, hiking, and generally going on adventures.
Favorite Restaurant: Oof. Big toss up between Plae Bistro and Orsetta (and both are surprisingly gluten-free friendly!)
Workout music: I mean as long as it’s loud and there’s a good beat I’m not too picky - but I do get a giggle out of working out to the angsty music of my teen years or the early 2000s clubbing music of my youth
Reason to join: I missed CrossFit a lot while I was on hiatus figuring out wtf was happening with my body and why I was in pain all the time. I started originally back in like 2013ish and it was a huge part of my life when I lived in Colorado - to this day the people I am still the most connected to out there are the people from my gym there. The workouts are never boring. I always leave feeling like I accomplished something. And Dave throwing me a new shirt the moment I walked in the door didn’t hurt either 😆
