Green Bay West Football

Good afternoon,

A few updates to mention:

1) Practices next week are Monday-Friday from 3:00-6:00 PM. Lifts will still place at 6:00 AM. Please plan accordingly.

2) On Thursday, we will be having a joint practice with Green Bay Southwest at Southwest HS. Please arrive at Southwest no later than 2:30 PM to be ready for practice at 3:00 PM. We will end practice at 5:30, so we are back at West for our Youth Camp that night.

3) We have two mandatory fundraising meetings for players next week prior to Monday's and Friday's practices. Monday's meeting starts at 2:15 PM and Friday's meeting starts at 1:15 PM. If for some reason, there is a schedule conflict, please communicate via chat or email.

4) Finally, we will be administering jersey numbers at the end of next week. Those who have been in attendance for lifts and football activities and also communicated their absences will have preference.

We wanted to announce that once again we will be having a FREE youth football camp this summer! The camp will take place July 21-23 from 6:30-8:00 PM at Del Marcelle Stadium. Registration will take place on site from 6:00-6:30 PM.

A final reminder our parents meeting is tonight at 6:00 PM in the Thune Center at West High School. Please park in the East lot and enter through door 9 (activities entrance).

As the calendar turns to summer, a reminder we have our Parents Meeting on Sunday June 14th at 6:00 PM in the Thune Center at West High School.

Parents are highly encouraged to attend. Expectations, policies, fundraising, booster club information, and other important details will be discussed.

As mentioned in our new communication platform sportsYou, we will be having a player meeting for anyone interested in playing football this coming fall.

The meeting will take place Thursday May 28th starting at 3:30 PM in the West High Auditorium.

Program and player expectations, daily summer and fall scheduling, fundraising information, and other important information will be discussed.

Parents can still attend the player meeting with the understanding this meeting will be tailored to the students.

We’re excited to enter our second year partnering with Story of the Season, and we’re looking for local businesses to join us as sponsors for the 2026 season!

This partnership allows us to:

- Provide meals to players for road games and snacks/drinks in the locker room
- Update our practice equipment
- Assist in our student-athletes attending college camps
- Highlight the stories and growth of our student-athletes through weekly digital chapters and a printed end-of-the year football yearbook (each kid and sponsor will receive)
- Build stronger connections between our program and the community

We’re proud of the direction our program is heading, and we want to continue building something the entire Green Bay community can be part of.

Players and Parents:

You should have received an email with an invitation to join the West Football sportsYou group. Please check your inboxes and spam folders and accept. A daily calendar, important information, and updates will come from sportsYou. SportsYou also has an app to download onto your phones (both App Store and Google Play Store) so that you have the information on-the-go.

On Thursday, April 16, the Solomon Chapter of National Honor Society inducted new members Ella Smith, Olivia Vandergrift, Channing Vang, Olivia Erler, Henry Gabrielson, and Cole Heinz. These students are joining a tradition of scholarship, service, character, and leadership that has been a part of our building since 1973.

Congratulations and best wishes to these students as they join this prestigious organization and work on building our school community.
