We would like to take a moment to thank our amazing friends at the Uptown Optimst Club for sponsoring our upcoming tournament on November 7th. Because of their continued support we are able to provide trophies for all top finishers in every event. Thank you for your continued support.

We are saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Roger McCullough the head speech and debate coach at Butte High School. Roger was not just a coach he was an amazing mentor to not just the coaches but the students. The passion he had for speech and debate was felt among his peers and shined through in each and every student as they performed. His passing will leave a hole in this season that will be felt by everyone. Our deepest condolences to everyone who Roger touched.

Tuesday Sept 8th is the big day. Anyone interested in joining CMR Speech and Debate meet in room 227 after school. We will continue to meet Tuesday and Thursday through September. Look forward to seeing you there.

This Saturday and Tuesday come out and support CMR Volleyball. While you enjoy the games stop by and grab some fresh popcorn and a soda from our concessions stand. Most things are $3 each.

The school year is just starting but our first tournament will be here before you know it. Nov 7th we are hosting Speech Debate and Drama. To make this run smoothly we need lots of judges. Rounds start at 8am and run every 2 hours. Come out and support these amazing speakers. Signup today!

It is time for some introductions. Meet Rachael Wong. She will be joining our coaching staff as our new Interpretation Coach at CMR.

As a former 4‑H Youth Development Agent from Kentucky, Rachael guided students through challenges, celebrate their wins, and turned nerves into excitement. Whether it was helping youth prepare presentations, run meetings, or tackle big projects, she learned that growth happens when you feel supported and have room to shine. Rachael excited to bring that spirit to Speech and Debate and to help each of you find your rhythm, your confidence, and your voice.

We look forward to having you join our coaches as we guide the voices of tomorrow.
