13U Player Intro’s:

Meet #00 Charlie Wonsettler. Charlie goes to Sissonville Middle School and calls Charleston, WV his hometown.

Charlie’s hobbies include playing baseball, basketball, football, fishing and hunting with his family. His favorite MLB team is the Miami Marlins and would love to trade places with Sandy Alcantara. Charlie has huge goals in baseball, to make the MLB one day!

Charlie will begin his first season with the Grayson Baseball Club 13U team, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome him to the family.

The first thing you notice is that Charlie is an absolute specimen of a young athlete, blessed with outstanding size, length, strength, and natural athleticism. We've watched him compete—and coached against him—for years, and one thing has always stood out: his potential is enormous. As impressive as his youth career has already been, we truly believe his best baseball is still ahead of him.

At the plate, Charlie is a dangerous hitter with tremendous power and an advanced understanding of the strike zone. He rarely chases pitches, consistently barrels the baseball to all fields, and if a pitcher leaves one over the plate, there's a good chance it's leaving the ballpark.

Defensively, Charlie brings versatility and impact. He excels at both corner infield positions and provides outstanding leadership behind the plate as a catcher. His arm strength, toughness, and presence make him a difference-maker wherever he's on the field. Simply put, when Charlie steps onto the diamond, people take notice.

On the mound, Charlie attacks hitters with a power fastball that he commands well, paired with a sharp breaking ball that can be devastating when he's landing it for strikes. His combination of velocity, command, and competitiveness gives him the tools to dominate.

However, what excites us most isn't just Charlie's talent—it's the young man behind the player. He's respectful, hardworking, coachable, and represents everything we value at Grayson Baseball Club.

We're incredibly grateful to have Charlie and his family join our program, and we can't wait to help him continue developing both on and off the field. The future is bright, and we're excited to be part of his journey.

13U Player Intro’s

Meet #15 C**t Vanover. C**t attends Russell Middle School and hails from Russell, KY.

C**ts hobbies include Baseball, football, basketball, archery, fishing, hunting and golf!
His favorite MLB team is the Atlanta Braves and if he could trade places with any pro it would be Ronald Acuña Jr. His goals include winning a State Championship!

C**t is our youngest player eligible for 12U baseball—and he is almost 11U eligible. To be that young and already competing at this level says everything about his natural ability, confidence, and work ethic. He’s always played up and has never been afraid to compete against the best.

At the plate, C**t’s approach and power are incredible for his age. He has the ability to change a game with one swing, like he did earlier this season when, trailing 1–0 in the 5th inning, he launched a 250-foot blast to right field to give us the 2-1 lead. He also has an advanced understanding of the strike zone and the ability to extend at-bats.

Defensively, C**t has massive upside at third base and already plays the outfield at a very high level, with a big-time arm that can make anyone think twice about taking an extra base.

On the mound is where C**t really shines. His three-pitch repertoire is impressive, and when he gets his off-speed working, he can dominate a game. His velocity is special, and he throws a heavy ball that consistently produces ground balls.

C**t is a true competitor, and I can’t wait to watch him continue developing and see just how far his ability and work ethic can take him. The future is extremely bright for #15!

13U Player Intro’s:

Meet #22 Waylon Taulbee. Waylon attends Johnson Central Middle School and proudly calls Paintsville, Kentucky home.

When he's not on the baseball field, you'll find Waylon playing football or basketball. His favorite MLB team is the Philadelphia Phillies, and if he could swap places with any player for a day, it would be Bryce Harper. His long-term goal is simple: become a Division I baseball player.

Waylon is the definition of a player who leads by example. You're not going to hear a lot of “ra ra” speeches from him, but his work ethic, focus, and competitive nature speak louder than words ever could. When he locks in and flips that switch, his intensity, talent, and determination are something special to watch.

At the plate, Waylon is our table setter, usually leading off thanks to his athleticism, length, and outstanding strike-zone discipline. But don't let that fool you—he has the power to hit in the heart of any lineup. He can drive the ball and hit bombs to all fields and has the speed to turn routine hits into doubles and triples. Every game, I’m confident he’s going to set the tone for our lineup and Offense.

Defensively, Waylon is a true up-the-middle standout. His smooth actions, exceptional range, and elite arm project as a high-level shortstop, but his versatility allows him to excel at second base, third base, catcher, and be an elite center fielder if necessary. No matter where he's at on the field, he makes us better.

On the mound, Waylon is just as impressive. His fastball has outstanding life, but it's his ability to change speeds and keep hitters off balance that makes him so effective. Pair that with a sharp breaking ball and a quality changeup, and he has all the tools to dominate opposing lineups. When he’s on, it’s truly something to behold.

I'm incredibly excited to continue coaching Waylon and watching his tremendous potential grow with every game. I have complete confidence that this young man has a very bright future ahead of him, and I can't wait to see where the game takes him.

13U Player Intro’s:

Meet #40 Kroy Shipley. Kroy goes to Symmes Valley and hails from Ironton, Ohio.

Besides baseball, Kroy’s hobbies include football, basketball, and 3-D printing. His favorite MLB team is the Seattle Mariners and if he could swap places with any player it would be Freddie Freeman. Kroy’s goals include hitting a home run on the high school field and playing college baseball!

Kroy was a first-year GBC player with us at 12U, and I’m so glad I get the opportunity to coach this kid again! There are so many things that stand out about Kroy, but the first thing I have to mention is his intelligence and BIG personality. He brings the perfect mix of fun and energy to keep the dugout loose, while still being an ultra-competitor when he’s between the white lines!

At the plate, Kroy has dynamite in his bat! When he stays connected, he can drive a baseball as far as I’ve seen anyone his age hit it. The power is what immediately catches your attention, but don’t be fooled—Kroy is a tough out. With two strikes, he can shorten up, use the whole field, or do whatever is necessary to help the team win. That ability to adjust is what makes his offensive game so dangerous.

Defensively, Kroy is another true jack-of-all-trades. We’ve asked him to patrol center field, and he brings great range and a big-time arm. He can move over to third base and handle the hot corner with ease, and also when necessary, he can step behind the plate and bring his vast knowledge of the game to be an elite catcher. The versatility he provides is unmatched.

On the mound, Kroy does a great job spotting a very good fastball and is beginning to develop an effective off-speed pitch. With more experience and reps on the mound, I believe he has the potential to become a true shutdown arm.

I can’t wait to continue to coach Kroy and see him reach his sky high full potential one day! Welcome back, Kroy! We’re excited to have you back in the GBC family!

13U Player Intro’s:

Meet #7 Colby Seasor. Colby Seasor is a 6th grader at Boyd Co Middle School!

When he’s not playing the game of baseball you can find him Fishing, hunting, cooking, playing ps5 and farming! He’s a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and would love to trade places with Ken Griffey Jr! His ultimate goal in baseball is to play Division 1 one day!

Colby “The Kid” Seasor is a player who absolutely rakes at the plate. His smooth left-handed swing is special, but what really separates him is his approach. Good luck striking this kid out — he was simply born to hit. His work ethic is unmatched, and he’ll spend hours hitting on his own because he’s always looking for a way to get better. He brings power to all fields and consistently produces an incredible line-drive rate.

Defensively, Colby is just as special in his Versatility! He can play second base with great ability and a steady hand, track down fly balls in the outfield, but then step behind the plate where he becomes a wall. At catcher, he commands the game with confidence and brings tremendous leadership to the field even at a very young age.

But what truly sets Colby apart is his competitive fire. He holds himself to extremely high standards and expects nothing less than his best. Sometimes you can see that competitiveness on his sleeve, but that same fire is what pushes him to keep improving every single day.

As a coach, I couldn’t ask for more from The Kid. His future is bright, and I can’t wait to watch him continue to rake and grow into the player he’s capable of becoming down the road!

Meet #99 Kyle Mayes. Kyle goes to Gallia Academy Middle School and lives in Crown City, Ohio.

Kyle’s hobbies are baseball, football, hunting & fishing. His favorite MLB Team is the Cincinnati Reds and If he could swap places with any MLB Player it would be Sal Stewart.

Kyle has major goals, to play first base in the Major Leagues for the team that drafts him, win Rookie of the Year, and eventually hold the MLB home run record!

At the plate, Kyle has power for days! He can drive a baseball 350 feet as a 12-year-old, but what makes him so special is that he’s beginning to consistently use the entire field. He’s not just hitting for power — he’s learning to hit with purpose, placement, and authority.

In the field, Kyle brings good size, athletic feet, and excellent hand-eye coordination. He has the ability to make difficult plays look routine and continues to develop into a very reliable defensive player.

On the mound, Kyle possesses a fastball that intimidates hitters from the warm-up pitch. As he continues adding his off-speed pitches and learning to change speeds, he has the potential to become extremely difficult to hit.

Kyle has BIG goals, and he has the work ethic to match them! His combination of size, athletic ability, power, and willingness to work gives him an incredibly high ceiling. The future is bright for Kyle Mayes!

13U Player Intro’s

Meet #23 Roman Jordan. Roman goes to East Carter Middle School and lives in Grayson, Ky.

When Roman’s not on the baseball field, you can find him playing basketball, riding 4-wheelers, or fishing.

Roman’s favorite MLB Team is the Cincinnati Reds and the Player he’d Swap Places With is soon to be Rookie of the Year Sal Stewart. Roman has big goals including winning a regional championship at East Carter and continue his journey to play college baseball.

Roman is an absolute grinder who plays fundamental baseball in every aspect of the game. His dependability, attitude, and willingness to do whatever the team needs are what make him such a valuable player.

Defensively, Roman’s outfield play at every position is top notch. He does an outstanding job making the routine plays, but he also has the ability to come up with the difficult ones when the moment is biggest. At second base, he’s a vacuum and can be counted on to make the right play consistently.

At the plate, Roman gives you quality at-bats and drives the ball with purpose, especially to the opposite field. He’s the type of player you can trust in high-pressure situations, including squeeze plays and other moments where situational baseball is critical. Giving himself up for his teammates and doing whatever it takes to help the team win is a staple of his game. Dependable is simply the best word to describe him.

On the mound, Roman is continuing to develop into a pitcher who can hit his spots and keep hitters off balance by changing speeds and his breaking pitch. As he continues to add size and velocity, the sky is the limit for his development on the mound.

Most importantly, Roman is a great teammate with an outstanding attitude. He brings the right mindset every day and makes the players around him better.

We’re excited to welcome back Roman Jordan and see what the future holds!

13U player intro’s

Meet #11 Jase Hatfield. Jase is a proud student at Buffalo Middle School and calls Huntington, West Virginia, home.

When he’s not on the baseball field, Jase enjoys staying active and playing baseball, football, and basketball. His favorite MLB team is the Tampa Bay Rays, and if he could swap places with any MLB player, he’d choose Ken Griffey Jr.

Jase’s ultimate goal is to continue working hard, developing his skills, and ultimately playing baseball at the collegiate level.

Jase is an absolute big-time player in every aspect of the game. This kid gets better every practice and every game, and on top of his talent, he has one of the best attitudes you’ll ever find in a young man.

At the plate, Jase brings a left-handed stick with power to all fields. Striking him out is a difficult chore for any pitcher. His ability to get on base and consistently have quality at-bats is what truly sets him apart. He’s an efficient player who constantly puts pressure on the defense with his speed!

Defensively, Jase can play all three outfield positions with great range, and at first base, he’s an absolute vacuum. He makes difficult plays look routine and gives us tremendous versatility with his athleticism and range.

On the mound, Jase brings a left-handed arm with changing speeds and developing velocity that continues to rise every year. He has the tools and work ethic to keep taking his game on the mound to another level.

This kid’s future is limitless, and I can’t wait to watch Jase continue to develop and reach everything he’s capable of!

13U Player Intro’s

Meet #10 Braylen Hammond. Bray is a student from Johnson Co Middle School and Paintsville, Ky.

When he’s not on the baseball field, you can find Bray riding his dirt bike and hanging out with his buddies.

His favorite MLB team is the Cincinnati Reds, and if he could trade places with any MLB player, he’d choose Elly De La Cruz. His goals are to continue to improve and one day make it to the MLB!

As a coach, I can truly say Bray is the best youth catcher in the Tri-State area and honestly best I’ve seen in all of the places we have played. That’s absolutely no disrespect to anyone else—it’s simply the level of confidence I have in this young man and what he brings to the field.

Behind the plate, Bray controls the game like a true leader. His blocking ability and arm strength are second to none in his age group. He has the tools, instincts, and toughness you want in a catcher, and he has a presence behind the plate that stands out and stalls the run game before coaches even attempt.

At the plate, Bray is a BIG-TIME run producer with gap-to-gap power and the ability to change a game with one swing. What makes him special is that he’s at his best when the pressure is at its highest. When the biggest moments come, Bray locks in and becomes a game changer.

And you would think a big, strong catcher would be slow—but not Bray! He has elite speed and outstanding base-running ability that makes him dangerous all over the field.
Simply put, he’s a freak out there. 💪⚾

I’m incredibly excited to watch Bray continue to develop, and I truly believe his best baseball is still ahead of him. We’re excited to have you back and can’t wait to see how you continue to rise!
WELCOME BACK, Bray Hammond!

13U Player Intro’s

Meet #44 Dallas Edwards. Dallas is a student from Powell Co Middle School and Clay City, Ky.

Off the field, Dallas enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time with friends and family.

His favorite MLB team is the Cincinnati Reds, and if he could trade places with any MLB player, he’d choose Mike Trout. His goals are simple but BIG — play at a D1 college and ultimately make it to the MLB.

Dallas is a five-tool player who brings an impressive combination of power, average, speed, athleticism, and defense. He has one of the most impressive power bats I’ve seen in youth baseball, but what makes him even more dangerous is his ability to hit for average and make himself a very difficult out.

His speed and agility are another major part of his game, and he has a glove to match. Dallas can make plays all over the field and brings the type of athleticism that impacts the game in multiple ways.

On the mound, Dallas features an elite fastball with plenty of pop, and when he starts changing speeds, he can be almost unhittable at times.

Dallas, we’re excited to have you back and can’t wait to see what you accomplish!
WELCOME BACK, DALLAS EDWARDS!
The best is still ahead!
