Let us introduce you to the comp 2013/14 Girls with unstoppable grit!

Here’s what their coach Ashley Totoonchie has to say about them as they head into a tournament this weekend, “GCU Pumas represents our 2013 and 2014 girls coming together from over 9 different schools to play competitive soccer and represent well both on and off the field. We are first and foremost a family of good-hearted players who love to work hard just as much as they love a team giggle moment here and there. Our three team foundations of attitude, fitness and skills help to shape our goals as individuals as well as a team.

This year, we are getting serious about our commitments to improvement by participating with weekly team journals to record our growth as young, competitive soccer players. Each week we reflect on our practice and game performance as well as set goals to better help prepare for our upcoming challenges. GCU Pumas continues to be a team that lifts each other up, while digging deep to rise to the next level of soccer. ”

LYMAN GILMORE & SCOTTEN FIELDS INFO:

U9-U12 Games will be held at Scotten and Lyman Gilmore fields with these amazing food and drink vendors, who are graciously donating back to the league, all day from 8:30am-6:30pm:

ZALT'S BBQ - grab delicious BBQ and breakfast burritos to fuel up and keep the sidelines cheering!

FRANKS FOR THE MEMORIES - (from the owners of the Ham Stand) - classic hot dogs, freshly popped popcorn, and specialty drinks for the whole crew.

TROPICAL SNO - a sweet, cool, SNOW CONE treat that’s perfect after a game (or while you watch!)

SMOOTHIE PATROL - serving "real and honest", plant based, dairy free and nutritious smoothies and protein shakes for athletes and the community. They also have a delicious full service espresso and coffee service!

Rec photos will take place as well in the Scotten Gym. 📸😁⚽

Saturday August 22nd is Gold Country United's Annual Soccer Jamboree! New referees will be training while the rec teams are getting some practice games in as the fall season begins!

U7 - U8 REC Games will be held at DeVere Mautino Park from 9am-12pm, please check your schedules for your gametime!

To top it off at the Mautino field we will have local vendors who will be graciously donating portions of their sales back to GCU:

SWEENIE'S WEENIE'S will be serving up some fresh, juicy hot dogs with all your favorite toppings, and chips and drinks!

MONSTER SHAVED ICE: cool off with a refreshing organic snow cone treat with organic, gluten free and chemical free flavors made right here in your local community!

The beautiful game is growing fast in GV! We need all the referees we can get! Please consider becoming a ref for the league this year. It's a great first job for kids 13+ and rewarding for adults too!
