🕊️ IN LOVING MEMORY OF CHERYL LURVEY 🕊️

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share our condolences on the passing of Granville’s own Cheryl Lurvey.

Cheryl was a true Granville native who gave her heart, her time, and so much of herself to the sport of bowling and to our community.

For many years, Cheryl was a tremendous advocate for bowling — especially helping grow and support the sport for both youth and adults. She was a league bowler, tournament bowler, supporter, volunteer, and most importantly, a familiar face and friend to so many who walked through the doors of Slate Valley Lanes.

People like Cheryl are part of what makes a bowling center more than just a building with lanes. They help make it a community.

Her impact on bowling in Granville will not be forgotten, and neither will she.

We like to think Cheryl is now bowling pain-free, watching over all of us and the lanes she cared so much about. 🎳❤️

Rest easy, Cheryl. You are already so deeply missed.

Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with her husband, her family, her friends, and everyone whose life she touched.

From all of us at Slate Valley Lanes, thank you, Cheryl, for everything you gave to bowling and to our community.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Where were you when….

At 8:46 a.m., American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower.

At 9:03 a.m., United Airlines Flight 175 struck the South Tower.

At 9:37 a.m., American Airlines Flight 77 struck the Pentagon.

At 10:03 a.m., United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania after courageous passengers and crew fought back.

In just 102 minutes, our nation was forever changed. Nearly 3,000 innocent lives were taken, families were shattered, and countless heroes ran toward danger to save people they had never met.

Today, we pause to remember every victim, every first responder, every service member, every survivor, and every family that continues to carry the weight of that day.

Slate valley will be closed this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for the Labor Day weekend. We hope everyone stays safe!! We will open Tuesday( 9/8) at 2 pm to begin our winter hours.

The town has spoken! Join us for the very first Trunk or Treat BOWL-O-WEEN Fest on Sunday, October 25th, from 2 PM to 4 PM.

Snag some sweets from a stranger’s trunk—don’t worry, it’s the *fun* kind of strange—then head inside for kids’ coloring sheets and cheap bowling thrills!

After your candy haul, enjoy 75 minutes of bowling (shoes included!) for just $20 per lane—perfect for up to 5 goblins.
**Bowling must begin by 4:15 PM before the pumpkins turn back into gourds!

Here is a look at our new Thursday After School Program.
All school age kids receive 75 Minutes of Bowling, Shoe Rental and a 16oz Soft Drink every Thursday they come in and start bowling before 3:30pm for just $9!
No Commitment, drop the kids off, run to the store and in 75 minutes, come back and pick them up!
