Dr. Deanna Elliott realized she had a gift of helping people understand their own body and knew she wanted to become a healthcare provider. She obtained her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences in 2011 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology at Sonoma State in 2008. Deanna has been utilizing a hands-on approach to help her clients heal since 2011. She has worked in a variety of settings in the Physical Therapy world both in Oregon and Wyoming including Neuro Rehabilitation, Acute Care, Skilled Nursing Home Facilities, Home Health, Orthopedics and School-based programs. In 2018 she started Centered Physical Therapy & Wellness, where Physical Therapy is integrated in a holistic manner to help heal the body at the root of its problem. Specializing in women’s health, she has dedicated her time to helping mothers restore balance prenatally, during pregnancy and postpartum. Although her passion resides in pre-conception, where ā€œall the magicā€ happens. Deanna is Postural Restoration Certified Practitioner 2020, where she is formally trained through the Postural Restoration Institute. This technique helps you re-pattern your nervous system and address pain globally in order to get down to the root cause of the issue. She furthered her education in order to provide a Functional Medicine approach to her clients through a licensed program with the Institute for Functional Medicine. This approach allows Deanna to address the root cause issues her clients struggle with and fine-tune their gut health. Deanna loves working with postpartum women, as she has struggled and recovered from her own physical and health issues after her 3 daughters.

If you’re constantly bloated, uncomfortable after eating, or wondering why your stomach seems to have a mind of its own… I want you to hear this.

Your gut isn’t broken.

It’s communicating with you.

And the answer probably isn’t another restrictive diet where you cut out 20 different foods and hope you magically feel better.

Because you can eat ā€œhealthyā€ and still have bloating, constipation, diarrhea, reflux, cravings, or that uncomfortable full feeling after meals.

That’s why I created my Happy Gut Protocol.

Instead of guessing what your body needs, we look at what could actually be driving your symptoms and give your gut the support it needs to function better.

Because I don’t want you spending the rest of your life thinking:

ā€œWhat can I eat?ā€

ā€œIs this food going to make me bloated?ā€

ā€œWhy does my stomach hurt?ā€

I want you to be able to eat, enjoy your food, and feel good in your body again.

If you’re ready to stop guessing and start understanding your gut, comment GUT and I’ll send you the details.

It was because they felt seen for the first time...they felt comfortable enough to vent

One was struggling because she was fearful she might make a mistake. She was fearful because she wanted so desperately to feel good in her body and she wanted to get pregnant again...but didn’t have it all figured out yet.

The second client, she wanted to feel good enough to keep up with her kids without that nagging pain in her body.

My advice...was really nothing...I just listened. I told them that it was going to get easier with time and once they start believing in themselves and trusting their intuition.

The real reason I primarily just listened to them was because I saw myself in them, in that moment I had realized that I have deeply healed from things that these women were experiencing RIGHT NOW!

Here is a picture of me back in 2018, when my symptoms were the worst ever and I all I really wanted was someone to listen to the pain I was experiencing, only to be dismissed by the social norms of motherhood. I was dismissed all because I ā€œlookedā€ healthy and my labs were normal and I really wasn’t ā€œsick enough.ā€

This message is not to try to teach you a special technique or sell you some program that addresses one issue of motherhood.

Instead, I want to remind you that you are the expert of your own body, and the body can heal from its wounds. You are not crazy and whatever path you end up taking, you will figure it out.

Trust the process and find someone who can really listen to what you feel inside your body and brain, because at the end of the day, that is the only thing that truly matters.

I’m happy to listen to the struggles you are having right now. Sometimes that is all you really need. My DMs are open.

Your best advocate,
Deanna

We have it all wrong.

Chasing symptoms (not just pain) is the biggest mistake I have seen with my clients.

I’m guilty of it too. 😳

By limiting our body’s information we are wasting time and effort trying to help restore balance from within.

Women come to me for body pains, but leave out that their hormones are out of whack, their anxiety is through the roof and they have serious digestive issues.

It is all connected…not indirectly, but DIRECTLY!

Clients come to me for:
🤯Hip pain but I see fear of change or fear to moving forward, coupled with painful periods and intimacy issues
🤯Low back pain but I see a vision issue or serious anxiety and feeling of being unsupported
🤯Neck tension but I see serious anxiety and hormone issues
🤯Ribs flare but I see slow digestion, constipation and food sensitivities

Breathing and brain science called is the way you can begin to resolve issues…not manage them.

Hi šŸ‘‹šŸ» I’m Deanna Elliott a mom of 3 babies here on earth and 3 in heaven, a wife and a business owner and I have healed my body in ways I cannot even explain.

What I think you might want to consider if you have seen 1000 practitioners and are still struggling to manage ā€œall the thingsā€

šŸ”¹Check your genetics
šŸ”¹Get a p**p test
šŸ”¹Become knowledgeable in PRI

When my doctors and other practitioners told me it was ā€œnormal for motherhoodā€ I became a Functional Medicine Specialist and a Postural Restoration Practitioner.

It’s time you got specific to YOU..

Comment DNA and let’s dive in together, so you can resolve NOT manage your symptoms.

So many clients come to me for pain in a pelvic floor, but dismiss the fact that their body is being held together by their neck and shoulder tension.

Again…the body is all connected.

When we stop chasing symptoms and start looking at the body as a whole unit, the entire system can relax.

That means less headaches, less shoulder blade pain, neck pain, and YES it is absolutely related to your hip/back/pelvic floor issues.

After working with hundreds of women from all over the world, I have discovered that I need to scream this from the top of Mt. Everest.

You are not broken, you just need more information from the ground to recalibrate your body after:
šŸ”¹A baby
šŸ”¹An injury
šŸ”¹Dental work (braces - even if it has been years!)
šŸ”¹Surgery
šŸ”¹Or if you have tried everything and been told ā€œit’s just part of motherhoodā€

Detecting patterns in my clients is the easy part.

Convincing them that their leaking when they sneeze, jump, run, or laugh is connected to their ribcage and breathing mechanics?

That is the hard part.

Most people assume incontinence is a pelvic floor problem only.

But your pelvic floor does not work in isolation.

Your diaphragm, ribcage, abdominal wall, and pelvic floor are designed to work together as a pressure system.

When the ribcage is stuck, flared, compressed, or unable to move well, that pressure system changes. The pelvic floor often ends up taking on a job it was never meant to do.

The result can be leaking, urgency, heaviness, back pain, and core dysfunction.

Most of the time the solution is not another Kegel.

Many times it starts with learning how to breathe and move your ribcage again.
