Candela Dance Studio A place for West Coast Swing, Salsa & other styles of dance and fitness in Grants Pass. Life is sweeter when you dance ~ come try it and make new friends!

We strive to create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for dancers of all ages, shapes and sizes. Candela Dance Studio is the result of a vision that began over a Thai lunch: To have a studio in Grants Pass specifically focused on partner dancing, and to spread the joy of dance through Salsa, West Coast Swing and more! It was made possible by community support. We're open to people of all ages, sizes and backgrounds who love dancing, or who are simply curious to try it. The idea is to create a special, comfortable and welcoming place where the local dance community can grow and thrive. Come dance with us!

Join us for our new 3rd Friday Ceilidh, hosted by Kat Greene and featuring LIVE music!
THIS Friday from 6:30-8:30 @ Candela (329 NE 6th St, Grants Pass)
WHAT IS CELIDH?
Ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering featuring lively folk music and group dancing. Ceilidh dances follow specific patterns and are led by a “caller” that walk participants through the moves. The dances are performed to traditional jigs and reels played by a live band.
WHEN WILL THIS BE?
Kat will host the Ceilidh dancing on the THIRD Friday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $20 per person, or free for Candela members (also free for those who haven’t yet used their 2 “free trial” classes/events)
WILL THERE BE LIVE MUSIC?
Yes! Kat, whom you may know as a Hula instructor, also plays in a Celtic band! You will be able to dance to their live music 🙂
DO I NEED A PARTNER?
No! Most people come without a partner. You also don’t need any experience - Kat will teach you everything you need to know!

Tonight will be BUSY at Code 4!!
In addition to Salsa/ Bachata night (6:30-8:30), there’s a Spanish immersion conversation group meeting at 6 pm, and “El Grito de Independencia,” a cultural night and early celebration of Mexico’s Independence Day, organized by the Grants Pass Sister City Coalition.
Join us for a jam-packed evening of dancing, language, live music and community at Code 4! 🎉💃🕺🏻🇲🇽🎶✨

We are loving these Salsa/Bachata nights at such a beautiful venue with great food and drink! If you haven’t been, you’ll definitely want to come check it out 🙂

What you can expect:
• INTRO TO SALSA lesson at 6:30 p.m.
