Classes well-paced yet challenging so that everyone learns and progresses at their own rate. Visitors are welcome; please call and come by any time.

Founded in 1996, South KC Shotokan Karate is located in Grandview, Missouri and offers traditional Japanese Shotokan karate, self-protection, and fitness classes and private lessons for all ages. Offering traditional Japanese Shotokan karate, self-protection, and fitness classes for all ages, the South KC Shotokan dojo is located in South Kansas City, Missouri. Goals of traditional training:

-Applicable Self-Defense through seeking "Todome Waza"
-Physical Fitness
-Mind/Body unity
-Stress Management Skills
-Increased confidence and mental focus
-Efficient use of whole body in every movement
-Energy Management
-Self Expression
-Increased awareness of self and of others
-Great social interaction

It was a real honor and a true blessing for our dojo to host Toru Shimoji Sensei (Jinsendo Martial Arts) for a weekend seminar, and for my longtime buddy and karate brother, Martin, to be in attendance at this fantastic event!
