Chans Legacy Kung Fu was invited to 2026 USA International Martial Arts Championship this past Saturday and took home a Gold and Silver metal for the Chi Sau event!

Lloyd Minto and Matthew Haley represented the school well!

They also met Grandmaster Benny Meng who has a school in Dayton, OH and Chow Yun Fat who starred in several movies including Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Bulletproof Monk.

Over the weekend, we had competitors from our school and our affiliate school from Lion Martial Arts Academy compete at the State Games of Michigan.

Congratulations to our competitors from Lion Martial Arts Academy to take 1st in sparring in BOTH Men’s and Women’s divisions and congratulations to our very own who took 3rd in forms WITH a rib injury. We’re also very very proud of the junior division in showing courage as they spar against many other unique forms of fighting.

Please congratulate our competitors for their efforts!!!

B**g Sau is one of the tougher blocks to learn in Wing Chun and many struggle with it. Especially when many people are introduced to martial arts is they tend to be stiff and not relaxed. Being relaxed is how you have better control and actually helps a lot with your techniques
