The "Money Out of Politics" measure that was passed by the Michigan House yesterday (and that is likely going to be on the ballot this Fall) is a full frontal assault on the First Amendment.

You can have your frustrations with the monopoly utilities and others who are on the government dole, but this abomination goes WAY farther than its advocates are advertising and will make it more difficult and expensive for grassroots organizations like GLGR to hold anti-gun politicians accountable.

Oh, and the corrupt union bosses are exempt from it, so there's that too.

There was a better way to do this that protected the First Amendment rights of Michiganders, while also making sure government-protected monopolies and government contractors aren't abusing the electoral process.

Before all the facts could come out about the shooting in Northern Michigan, Democrat candidate for Governor Jocelyn immediately called for more gun control and stricter enforcement of Whitmer's "Red Flag" gun confiscation scheme.

BREAKING: John James has tapped Republican State Representative Jay DeBoyer to be his running mate for Lieutenant Governor.

State Representative Jay DeBoyer is one of the joint sponsors for the Constitutional Carry bill package (House Bills 5653-5657) introduced by State Rep. Joe Fox earlier this year.

He is also a co-sponsor of State Rep. Jim DeSana's () bills to repeal Whitmer's "Red Flag" gun confiscation scheme (HB 4138-4140).

DeBoyer has a 100% pro-gun voting record during his time in the Michigan House of Representatives.
