I always loved movement, exercise.

Through sport, it taught me to connect with myself. To realize my strength and power. And to this day, when I feel stressed, overwhelmed, or lost amongst the noise, it still does just that.

Through the years, I've heard folks around me scoff at exercise. It's just not thier thing. Something they don't do. And i've always thought and felt, Why?

It's always been such a joy, so healing, for me. It's subconsciously never been about the calorie burn, but something much deeper.

And, now, it makes sense. This must be why it's one of my gifts. It helps me remember and realize who I am, and that's simply all I want for my clientele, as well.

We're not here to change you. we're here to help you remember something so sacred. No one is you, and that is your power.

Movement/fitness/exercise.. whatever you want to call it, is so very uniquely individual. This is why I refer to my 1x1 training sessions as Move Like You sessions.

When folks refer to wanting or needing a personal trainer, it often comes with the superficial predisposition that they simply need to lose weight.. but we go deeper than that.

I want you to FEEL the JOY of movement;

- moving in ways that nourish your body, that feel restorative, gentle & supportive, and facilitate recovery.

- moving in ways that challenge your body to it's very limits, that feel gritty and fu***ng hard, and helps you realize just how truly you're capable you are.

- moving in ways that are somewhat aimless, dropping you out of your head and into your breathing, alive, natural body, moving for the sake of moving, without a structured plan but simply for FUN, getting creative, flowing with what you intuitively need, the moment, and remembering the gift of your intuition and inner world to bring forth what you and only you can - the beauty & flow of life.

expansion.

So yes, I love movement, because it's so much more than exercise - it's a reflection, a doorway and mirror.. to everything that you are. πŸͺŸπŸšͺπŸͺž

A good teacher doesn't hand you answers. They help you notice what you already know.

InnerDimensionYoga.com/fbt

There's a version of teaching that positions the teacher as the authority β€” the one with the answers, the corrections, the final say on what's right. But the more useful role is closer to a mirror: reflecting back what's already true about a student's body, breath, or effort, so they can see it clearly enough to work with it themselves.

A cue like "soften your shoulders" isn't handing someone a rule to follow forever. It's pointing at something they can learn to feel on their own, until eventually they don't need the cue at all. The goal isn't dependence on the instruction β€” it's building the kind of awareness that makes the instruction unnecessary over time.

This applies outside the studio too. The best mentors, managers, and guides aren't the ones who hand you the answer fastest. They're the ones who ask the question that helps you find it yourself β€” because that's the version of the answer that actually sticks.

Where in your life are you relying on someone else's authority instead of trusting what you already sense to be true?

If you're ready to build that kind of self-trust in your practice, start your free 10 day trial at InnerDimensionYoga.com/fbt.

You see a textbook laying on an office table.

I see everything that led to this moment -
years of work, but also, play.

Growing up playing sports, it didn't take me long to learn healthy food made me feel & perform well. I started to realize around 7th/8th grade that colorful, whole foods were more nutritious and, also brought me so much joy and beauty to consume!!!!

Naturally, I went on to study health, fitness, nutrition, etc. in College - following my curiosity about how this whole thing worked.

Before walking into my office and seeing this textbook scene, I was cutting some root veggies we had picked up that day. Purple, orange, yellow carrots - all the colors, a variety of nutrition! 😍 And it got me curious, what are the actual nutrients in each? just so I could know.

There I was, opening up my Essentials of Strength and Conditioning textbook - scouring, reading - just like the first time.

I had to put a pin in that while I had a round of clientele come through for an eve of 1x1 training sessions. Getting charged up, doing what I love with them, helping them grow stronger in real-time. Hearing them say they felt so much better after, and, as such, me feeling so good after.

Once complete, I opened my office door to this scene.

Sun radiantly shining on the book so perfectly. Feeling so full, rewarded & in awe of what I get to do daily. These sort of moments, captured in heart, feel so holy. Following what I love, getting to study it, help others with it - being fed in numerous ways.

From tball to high-level sport, to finding Unreal over a decade ago, to getting my certs (nearly 7 & 10 years ago!) & soaking up my books, to growing our practices & this facility, expanding into this office & space - surrounded by what I created & love; immersed, nourished, engaged with my passions, feeling so incredibly lucky & blessed.

And honestly, so much more. I could go on & on. All that to say, listen to those quiet whispers of what pulls at your heart and curiosities.

Follow and make space for those passions, for they will lead you to your power, to your purpose, and your calling.

Advanced isn't a shape. It's how present you are inside it.

InnerDimensionYoga.com/fbt

There's a common assumption that "advanced" means more flexible, more extreme, more visually impressive β€” the pose that looks the hardest. But ask any longtime teacher and they'll tell you the opposite is usually true. The most advanced practitioners are often the ones doing the simplest version of a pose with total precision, full breath, and total honesty about what their body needs that day.

Chasing the advanced version of a pose can actually work against the practice. Forcing a shape your body isn't ready for teaches you to override signals instead of listen to them. Meanwhile, a foundational pose held with real attention builds strength, awareness, and patience β€” the actual qualities that make a practice mature over time.

This shows up everywhere outside the studio too. The most capable people aren't always the ones doing the most complicated version of something. Often it's the ones who've mastered the fundamentals so completely that they make hard things look simple.

Where in your life have you been chasing the "advanced" version of something instead of doing the basics well?
