There’s something pretty satisfying about looking up at the top of the silks and realizing…

Wait. I can actually get up there.

Silks will challenge your strength, coordination, patience, and probably your relationship with gravity—but that’s also what makes every new skill feel SO good.

You don’t need to show up already strong or flexible. You start where you are, learn the foundations, and build from there. One foot lock, climb, wrap, inversion, and “WAIT, I DID IT!” at a time.

And somewhere along the way, you might discover you really love being upside down.

Curious? Intro to Silks + Hammock is your place to start. Already taken your Intro? Our next Silks Series begins September 8.

Come climb with us.

Okay, but which one is calling your name?

Maybe you want to climb higher than you thought you could on Silks. Maybe Hammock is where you find your flow. Maybe you want to spin until the whole room disappears on Lyra—or discover that Pole, Lollipop, Trapeze, or Flying Pole is where you feel most like you.

That’s part of the fun of aerial: you don’t have to know your thing until you try it.

And at GRAL, there are a LOT of things to try.

Our next 4-week Series begins September 8, so now’s the time to find the apparatus you can’t stop thinking about and give it a go.

New to that apparatus? Start with an Intro Class first. Already taken an Intro or previous series? You’re ready to find your next class.

So tell us…
Which apparatus are you?

A little reminder from the fae realm… ✨🧚‍♀️

Life is too short to spend it holding your breath, bracing for what comes next, or waiting for the “right” moment.

Sometimes you just have to let go, find your flow, and fly. 🌿✨

Lily brought a little aerial magic to The Enchanted Woods Fantasy Faire & Fae Ball last weekend, taking flight on Lollipop among the fairies, fantasy, and forest magic.

We love getting to bring aerial performance into unexpected spaces and watching a little bit of wonder unfold. 💫

Interested in bringing aerial entertainment to your next festival, faire, celebration, or special event?

Meet Ally DePoy (), bringing more than 10 years of aerial and pole experience and a whole lot of personality to GRAL!

Ally teaches Pole, Flying Pole, Spin Pole, Heels, Liquid Motion, and Twerkouts, with a special love for creative choreography and experimental flow.

Ask her to describe her teaching style in three words and you'll get an answer that tells you pretty much everything you need to know:

“Drill Sergeant Carebear”

She'll push you, support you, and celebrate when all that practice finally clicks.

Ally also brings extensive training and certifications to her classes, including:
✦ Pole Fitness Alliance Levels 1 + 2 + 3
✦ Twerk After Work
✦ Liquid Motion 1.0
✦ Liquid Motion 2.0
✦ Liquid Heels
✦ ACE Certified Group Fitness Isntructor

For Ally, one of the best parts of teaching is watching a student experience that magical “AHA!” moment when a skill suddenly makes sense. This year, she's encouraging her students to go beyond simply learning the movements and begin discovering their own individual style within them.

A few more things to know about Ally:
✦ Creative choreography: 5/5 — experimental flow is her jam
✦ Current favorite song to move to: “Ascensionism” by Sleep Token
✦ Summer ice cream pick: Butter Pecan

Whether you're building your pole technique, experimenting with choreography, or learning to move in a way that feels uniquely you, Ally is ready to challenge you, cheer you on, and help you find your flow.

Catch her teaching at Grand Rapids Aerial Lounge and give Ally some love in the comments!
