DEEP CLEAN SUNDAY. 🧼🥋

We take keeping our academy clean just as seriously as we take our training.

Every week, hundreds of hands, feet, and bodies hit these mats. So cleaning isn’t something we do when the gym looks dirty—it’s part of the responsibility that comes with running a Jiu Jitsu academy.

Today our crew went beyond the regular daily cleaning: mats up, underneath cleaned, disinfected, and everything reset so we’re ready for another week of training.

Because the details matter.

Clean mats. Clean facility. High standards.

It’s part of taking care of our students, our coaches, and the community that trusts us with their training.

Coaching kids Jiu Jitsu isn’t always about teaching takedowns, escapes and submissions…

Sometimes the hardest technique of the day is TYING THE BELT. 😂🥋

Step one: wrap it around.
Step two: somehow it’s backwards.
Step three: start over.
Step four: Coach is now questioning everything he knows about Jiu Jitsu. 😂

But eventually… we figure it out together.

And honestly, that’s a pretty good description of coaching.

We teach. They try. We make mistakes. We laugh. We try again. And little by little, they become more confident doing things on their own.

🥊 NEW PROGRAM ALERT: KIDS STRIKING IS COMING TO ELEVATE!

Starting September 22, Elevate is launching a brand-new Kids Striking Program for ages 6–15 right here in Grand Junction, Colorado.

This weekly class will introduce kids to fundamentals from boxing, Muay Thai and kickboxing while giving them another challenging, fun way to build confidence, coordination, discipline and fitness.

📅 Tuesdays
⏰ 5:00–5:45 PM
🥊 Ages 6–15
💰 $110/month for new members
⚡ $30/month add-on for current Elevate members

We originally opened 30 spots — only 13 remain.

We’ll also have a Combat Corner Youth Striking Bundle available with headgear, gloves, shin guards and a mouthpiece so your athlete can have the gear they need to train.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Coach Joel has been recognized as an Official Athlete with Graybeard Grapplers

For anyone who knows Joel, you know this recognition represents a lot more than putting a logo on a rashguard.

It represents years on the mats. Thousands of rounds. Coaching. Learning. Teaching. Showing up when you’re tired. Helping the next person get better. And continuing to work on your own game along the way.
