Continuing to learn, grow, and become better for the little swimmers and families who trust me with such an important skill. 💙
I’m so grateful for opportunities like this workshop—not only to strengthen my knowledge and skills as an ISR instructor, but also to connect with an incredible community of instructors who share the same passion for keeping children safer around the water.
There is always more to learn, and I never want to stop growing. Every new lesson, conversation, and perspective helps me show up better for my students and support their families with even more confidence and care.
So thankful for this community, for the opportunity to keep learning, and most of all, for every family who trusts me to be a small part of their child’s journey. 🫶🏼🌊
Always learning. Always growing. Always for them. 💙

The most common question we hear: “Why are ISR lessons 4–5 days a week and only 10 minutes?” 💦
The answer is simple: Consistency + short, focused practice = the best learning.
ISR lessons are designed around how young children learn best. Daily repetition helps build muscle memory, confidence, and life-saving skills without overwhelming little swimmers. Keeping lessons to about 10 minutes prevents fatigue, keeps children engaged, and allows them to practice while they’re alert and successful.
Every lesson builds on the one before it, creating steady progress through small, achievable steps. It’s not about how long they’re in the water—it’s about making every minute count.
Those 10-minute lessons, repeated consistently, help develop skills that can make a lifesaving difference. 💙

Hi! 👋 I’m Halee Alexander, owner and instructor behind ISR with Halee LLC. Since it’s been a while (and there are lots of new faces here!), I thought it was time to reintroduce myself.
I’m a certified Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) instructor passionate about giving children life-saving self-rescue skills and helping families feel more confident and safe around the water.
A little about me:
✨ I was a competitive swimmer for 10 years.
✨ Before becoming an ISR instructor, I spent 6 years coaching and teaching swim lessons. That makes for about 9 years teaching in the pool so far!
✨ Long before ISR with Halee existed, I knew this was what I wanted to do. That passion led me to earn my associate’s degree in business, complete my ISR training, and build the business I’ve always dreamed of.
✨ My teaching style is calm, patient, and encouraging. I believe children are capable of amazing things, and with consistency, support, and trust, they can do hard things.
When I’m not in the water, you’ll usually find me spending time outside, making memories with my friends & family, or hanging out with my dog
My mission is simple: to help protect children through ISR’s life-saving self-rescue lessons and to continue serving the families of Genesee County and the surrounding communities.
Whether you’ve been here since day one or you’re just finding my page, thank you for being here. I’d love to get to know you! Tell me in the comments—What is your favorite water activity? What questions do you have about ISR? I’d love to answer them in future posts!
