🦈MEET THE COACHES BEHIND THE SEASON 🦈

Jessica Pryne joins the New York Sharks as a coach, bringing years of high-level competitive
swimming experience and a strong background in championship-level competition to the team.

A standout swimmer from Cornwall, Jessica was a three-time Section 9 MVP, a New York State Champion in the 500 freestyle, and a Section 9 Record Holder in both the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley. She competed at the collegiate level for both Louisiana State University (LSU) and James Madison University (JU), competing in the individual medley, butterfly, and
freestyle events.

During her time at LSU, Jessica competed at the SEC level, traveled with the team, and competed at the SEC Championships. At JMU, she was a two-time First Team All-Sun Belt selection, served as Team Captain, and was the co-top swimming scorer at the 2025 Sun Belt Championships. She won the 200 and 400 IM at both the 2024 and 2025 Sun Belt Championships and finished her collegiate career as a JU school record holder in the 200 IM, 400 IM, and 800 freestyle relay.

Having competed and led at the Division I level, Jessica understands the discipline, commitment, technical precision, and mental toughness required to succeed in competitive swimming. She is excited to bring her experience to the Sharks, helping swimmers develop strong fundamentals, race strategy, confidence, and the work ethic needed to reach their full potential.

Jessica will be working with our Cornwall and Mt St Mary branches for the 2026/2027 season!

🦈MEET THE COACHES BEHIND THE SEASON 🦈Colton Roe joins the New York Sharks as the Senior and Pre-Senior Group Coach at our Mt St Mary location. He brings 18 years of high-level competitive swimming experience and a proven track record of championship success to the
team’s top athletes.

An elite athlete from high school through the collegiate ranks, Colton was an 11-time Section 9 Champion, a 2010 New York State Champion, and
a former State Record Holder (2009, 2010). He has held several Section 9 records alongside dozens of pool, meet, and school records
earned over his career. At the collegiate level, Colton swam for Oneonta State, where he was a three-time SUNYAC Champion and former
SUNYAC Record Holder.

Having served as Team Captain for both Pine Bush High School and Oneonta State, Colton understands the discipline, technical precision,
and mental toughness required to compete at the highest levels. He is excited to lead the Sharks’ Senior Group, focusing on advanced stroke mechanics, race strategy, and training high school and college-bound
swimmers to achieve their peak performance.

A great season starts with great people on deck! This year, we’re proud to introduce the coaching staff who will be leading, teaching, challenging, and supporting our swimmers throughout the season. Each coach brings a different strength, perspective, and experience to our program—but all share the same goal: helping our athletes become better swimmers, stronger teammates, and more confident competitors. 🦈
Over the next several days, we’ll be introducing each member of our staff and giving you a closer look at the people behind the practices, the progress, and the moments that make a season special.
Tomorrow, we begin with an exciting new addition to our coaching team.

We want to send a shout out to Thomas! He competed in the VIII Torneo Internacional India Catalina 2026 representing the DR! Thomas took home 4 🥇Gold Medals, 2 🥈Silver Medals, and 1 🥉Medal! He clocked some impressive best times as well! We are incredibly proud of you! 🦈🇩🇴🦈
