THE PUTTING PICTURE - STRATEGY

There’s so much to be said about visualizing the putt. Look at the cup, the entry point, the apex, spot putting. And that’s just to name a few. What works best for your game may be the difference between making and missing.

If you’re not sure where to start, let’s work from the cup backwards with some easy options.

1. The Entry Point: See a spot on the edge of the cup where you think the ball might enter. This is good if you’re routinely missing putts high.

2. The AimPoint: If you are starting to use a line on the ball, keeping an eye on where that line is pointed can be very helpful. This goes nicely with the person who feels “every putt is a straight putt” and “let’s then slope do the work.

3. Intermediate Target or Spot Putting: Making sure you hit your start lines on the course is a lot easier when have a strong sense of the initial target. If you want to make sure you’re picking that spot accurately, join The Patreon page.
