Announcing…. GOLD Masters Practice Group has returned, by popular demand! This group will begin on Monday, October 5th and its focus will be on those who are ages 19+. Y Members and non-members alike may join this program. Swimmers of various abilities are welcome, and no previous experience is required. See the flyer for details & register at the front desk now. We kicked off the new season today with a team meeting, some “get to know one another” activies, goody bags, chocolate chip cookies and swimming!

Join us for our Short Course Season kick off on Tuesday. All groups meet together at 4:15 PM. We will get to know one another, go over some important information, enjoy refreshments, have some fun, and SWIM! See you there!

Shark Week last week at practice included some extra fun mixed in with continued training. We focused on one stroke per day, featuring a “shark word” acronym for warmups. We learned new drills and skills, and after our work was done each day, we enjoyed games and snacks. GOLD Sharks love Shark Week!

It’s been a great week for GOLD athletes at YMCA Long Course Nationals in Ocala, Florida. Congratulations to Zach, Stormy and Sarah! Special congrats to Zach & Sarah as they move on to the next chapter in life, and to Stormy for competing at Y Nats for the first time. Best wishes to Sarah as she swims the final swim for GOLD this evening in the 50 Free C Final. Gooooo Sharks! We are proud of all of you!
