Another smokey weekend in Goldendale, Washington brought me to the 82nd Klickitat County Fair and Rodeo!

On Saturday morning Sandy and I participated in the downtown parade, and received a ribbon for being an Outstanding Equestrian Entry. After Queen Jaylee’s luncheon, we had the performance where Sandy and I helped push cows for the tie down roping! We were also able to help in the Sunday performance. I was so happy to be back in Goldendale and see so many familiar faces!

The Klickitat County Fair and Rodeo holds a special place in my heart as this was my first title, which helped shaped me into the person I am today. I am also incredibly grateful for their support in being a sponsor for my year as the 2026 Miss NPRA!

For the Friday night performance I had the honor of participating in grand entry, which included carrying a flag, and also pushing cattle with Queen Gracie! On Saturday we had an amazing meal for Queen Gracie’s luncheon, where we highlighted the 2026 Grand Marshal Rita Couture. Her involvement with the Deschutes County Fair spans many years and many hats, and she has much to be credited for. Saturday night’s performance was pink night! After grand entry, I made the drive back to Goldendale with Sandy in tow.

The upcoming weekend brings a small break to the athletes of the NPRA, but afterwards I will be attending the Wasco County Fair and Rodeo and then onto the Klickitat County Fair and Rodeo! I am so excited to be back in my hometown and to represent my friends and neighbors as the 2026 Miss NPRA.

Always Grateful,
2026 Miss NPRA

We’re so thankful to have had Teen Miss NPRA, Teala, at Kinship all week! 🤎👑 She’s been helping our campers ride, learn, and grow while inspiring the next generation of horsemen and horsewomen. Thanks for an amazing week! 🐴

As the dust settles on the 50th Thunder Mountain Pro Rodeo and the 2027 Miss NPRA Pageant, I am proud of my sash sister’s dedication and accomplishments!

We kicked off pageant on Thursday with orientation, written test, and personal interviews! Afterwards, our contestants completed their mock media interviews with Kim Bowcutt, who’s also part of the Gold Buckle Rodeo Company! We then participated in grand entry, and I pushed cows with my Teen Miss NPRA Teala and Queen Sarah. I was lucky enough to push with them all three nights!
•••
Friday started off early with horsemanship, where Sandy and I carried the American Flag, set the pattern, and led rail work! Sandy tried so hard all weekend and stayed solid. The horsemanship interviews also took place that afternoon. Sandy also enjoyed a complimentary PEMF treatment after the rodeo by Pacific Northwest Pulse!
•••
I sat with our contestants while they completed their presentations, and I was able to ask their impromptu questions during the fashion show, which was the last judged portion of the pageant! Afterwards, we crowned our 2027 Miss NPRA royalty after the first section of broncs. Congratulations to all!

This weekend would not have been possible without the support of our contestant and current royalty families, Thunder Mountain Pro Rodeo for being our hosts for the week, our judges, and every person who has ever donated to the Miss NPRA program! I cannot wait to finish out the rest of this rodeo season.

We would love to extend our heartfelt condolences to our newly crowned 2027 Miss NPRA, Patty Lynch for the passing of her father Sunday Night. Patty showed great strength and courage through the pageant despite her father’s condition in the hospital and always had a smile on her face. Patty says her dad will be remembered for his hard work ethic and continuing to instill the values of the western way of life into her. We are deeply sorry for the passing of such a wonderful man and we ask that you send love and prayers to the Lynch family as they navigate losing a key member of their family.
