Meet my newest sound healing instrument 🌿

This is a Kenari seed shaker, a natural percussion instrument made from the seed pods of the kenari tree, native to Indonesia. The sound is gentle and rhythmic, with a little hint of falling rain.

And it has a little ASMR feel to it, too.

I’m excited to explore how this beautiful sound fits into my sound healing sessions.

Have you heard a Kenari shaker before?

Interested in experiencing sound healing for yourself? Reach out to schedule a private or semi-private session. Sessions are available in person or virtually.

Last week, I had the opportunity to share a sound healing session with a small, intimate group. ✨

We slowed down, took a breath, and simply made space to be.

I love these moments of connection and quiet, and I’m grateful to be able to share this experience with others. 🤍

If your group could use a little time to slow down and reconnect, I’d love to create a sound healing experience for you.

The sand shifted beneath my foot.

For a moment, I lost my balance.

So I paused, adjusted, grounded, and found my center again.

It made me think about how often life shifts beneath us, too.

Maybe balance isn’t about standing perfectly still. Maybe it’s about being willing to adjust, breathe, and find our way back to center.

That’s one of the things I love about yoga—it teaches us to meet the wobble instead of fear it. 🤍

Yoga is about more than flexibility. It’s about staying strong, mobile and capable as we age. 🧘‍♀️💪

As we get older, we naturally begin to lose muscle mass, strength and function, a process known as sarcopenia.

That’s one reason I love adding light weights to familiar yoga poses. Here, I’m using just 3-pound hand weights to add a little extra resistance and challenge those muscles.

You don’t have to lift heavy to make a difference. Combining yoga with resistance training can help support muscle strength, balance and functional movement as we age.

And this is just one way we can personalize your yoga practice. Whether you prefer private or semi-private sessions, we can incorporate light weights, strength work and other tools based on you and what your body needs.

So, what exactly is Vinyasa? 🌿

You may have heard your yoga teacher say, “We’re going to move through a Vinyasa,” but what does that actually mean?

At its heart, Vinyasa is the connection of breath with movement—allowing the breath to guide you from one pose (asana) to the next.

In this short demo, I’m showing a simple half Sun Salutation, moving with the breath through Uttanasana, Ardha Uttanasana, and Tadasana.

I also incorporate Ujjayi Pranayama into my Vinyasa practice, using the steady breath to help create rhythm, focus, and a more mindful flow.

This breath-connected movement is a big part of how I teach Hatha Vinyasa—combining the steadiness and mindful holds of Hatha with the fluid movement of Vinyasa.

Whether you’re brand new to yoga or have been practicing for years, sometimes it helps to come back to the basics. 🤍

Move with your breath. Find your flow.

☀️ A little sunshine to hold onto.

Back from the coast with a few favorite moments from a beautiful week of beach walks, gorgeous sunsets, ocean air, and a little yoga along the way. 🌊☀️🧘‍♀️

This week’s full moon and lunar eclipse seemed like the perfect reminder to find a little balance—sun and moon, movement and stillness, doing and simply being.

Feeling refreshed, grounded, grateful… and maybe just a little reluctant to leave vacation mode. 😉

✨ Finding my balance.

🧘‍♀️ Movement, breath, presence

🌅 And then… just pause.
