Unfortunately, yesterday we had to say good-bye to our Beau-beau. At only two and a half years old, we'd never imagined he would leave so early. The vets have given us multiple reasons, cancer being one, but the true cause is unknown. He was a good boy! These gun dogs truly become best friends and family. Even though Beau was young and only hunted 2 seasons, I believe he got to hunt more than most dogs get to hunt in their lifetime. He got to live the life a golden retriever is meant to live. Not one of pup cups and yuppy stuff, but one of hunting and being an outdoors boy. He did what he was bred to do, and he loved it. He will be missed, but he will always be remembered here at the Pheasant Cove. He is one of many who helped keep the tradition alive!
