Form comes first. No guessing, no copying the person next to you and hoping it looks right. Proper technique is everything when it comes to lifting safely and efficiently. Form first, then the weight, then the intensity.

It meets you where you are. Everyone walks in from a different starting point. Your On Ramp is built around your abilities so you feel challenged, not buried.

It builds confidence before it builds strength. Walking into a gym is intimidating. That is normal. By the end of your On Ramp you will know the movements, the language, and the people, and classes stop feeling like a test.

It gets clear on what you actually want. Is it strength? Mobility? Just feeling better in your body day to day? We figure that out together so you are not a fish out of water.

Starting strong at a gym is not about lifting heavier. It is about starting smart.

If you have been circling the idea of joining for months and talking yourself out of it, this is the part that makes it doable. I would love to get you started.

Comment ON RAMP and we will walk you through it.

This 343 tribute honors the FDNY firefighters who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

As memorial workouts always are, this workout is built to be hard, physically and mentally, on purpose. Every rep is meant to be done with purpose and remembrance, not just pushed through. The difficulty is not incidental. It is a small, deliberate way of acknowledging what those firefighters gave so that we still get to show up today.

Respect the workout. Respect the meaning behind it. And respect the privilege of simply being here to do it, whatever that looks like for you today.

You’ve heard “listen to your body” a hundred times. But has anyone actually explained what that means?

That is exactly what our coach Kaitlyn Ellis is diving into in The Athlete’s Pelvic Floor, a hands on workshop happening right here at 033.

This is not a lecture. You will be moving the whole time, learning how breathing, pressure, tension, and positioning connect to the CrossFit movements you already do every day. Kaitlyn will also cover how training can shift through the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause or menopause, so you can keep doing what you love without training in fear.

September 19th at 10:00 AM. Included for members. $15 for non members.

Spots are limited. Comment below or DM us to save yours.

If your push-ups fall apart halfway down, that does not mean you are too weak to do them. It means you are training at an angle that is too hard for where you are right now.

So stop pulling push-ups out of your program completely. Change the angle instead.

Start with your hands on something high. A box works. A countertop at home works just as well.

Keep your torso rigid the whole way down. Hips do not sag, chest does not lead. Your whole body moves as one piece.

Then you lower the surface as you get stronger. Box to bench. Bench to a bar on the rig that you drop one notch at a time as your position holds.

Same movement. Same muscles. Just a slightly different angle.

That is the entire progression, and it works because you are practicing the actual skill every step of the way instead of waiting until you are “strong enough” to try it.

If push-ups have been the one movement you skip every time they show up in a workout, start here. I would love to know where you are starting from. Comment ANGLE and I will walk you through your next step down.

After 40 you lose muscle every decade whether you feel it or not. The data is not subtle on this one. Strength goes first. Bone density follows. And then one day it is not about the gym at all. It is the stairs. It is getting up off the floor. It is needing a hand with something you used to do without thinking.

Here is what does not get said enough. That decline is not aging. It is disuse.

Muscle still responds at 55. It responds at 65. It responds at 75. It just needs a reason to, and consistent strength work is the reason.

That is why we built Forever Strong. Six weeks, small group, designed for the 55 and over crowd who is tired of being told to take it easy and slow down.

The goal is not to make you a competitor. The goal is strong, capable athletes who stay independent, keep their bone density, and are still doing their own yard work and standing up off the toilet on their in their 70s, 80s and beyond.

If you have ever thought you were too old to start, this is for you.
If you have ever walked past the gym because you were not sure you belonged in there, this one is really for you.

I would love to talk it through with you. Comment below or send me this post and we can figure out together if it is a fit.
