For Meela, cheer is about more than learning routines it’s about teamwork, consistency, and having teammates who can lift each other up when things get tough.
What is the hardest part of your sport?
“The hardest part is definitely the perfection side. Everyone has to be in unison for the cheers, and it can be frustrating when you’re off.”
What is something you appreciate about your coach?
“Something I appreciate about my coach is how much time and effort she puts into the team to make sure we can succeed.”
What makes a great teammate?
“A great teammate is someone who can make you laugh when you want to cry at practice. Not every practice is easy. You need teammates that lift your spirits up.”
And when it comes to the people who show up and supports Gladstone Cheerleading, Meela has a message for all of Braves Nation:
“Remember to always wear purple so we stand out and CHEER LOUD!”
