Alfie had a part yesterday morning. Guess he didn’t want hair in his eyes. He then tried to give me a nose ‘boop’. Isn’t he just the cutest?

PS we leave forelocks long to keep bugs out of face. It’s not a fashion statement or anything. Although I’m sure Alf would love to start a style!

For those scientists out there that have to run studies to question a horses intelligence . . .

At TLA, we have had an uprising of mosquitos this week. Vicious little beasts! Matrix, our big guy and prince of the pasture, gets bit like crazy! I wasn't sure he would go out into the pasture so I just opened the pasture gate from his stall then started to walk out on the barn side. He went to the barn side of his stall, took one look at me, then went to the pasture side and used his nose to close the gate! He then turned and looked at me like, "Are you crazy?"

I guess I got my answer, no pasture! He did go out into the sand arena to roll and stretch. But, he knows what he wants!

Flashback! Matrix turns 17 tomorrow (April 20th)! He and our director have been partners and best friends for almost 9 years! Matrix is the laziest Arabian you will ever meet but he is so full of fun and life. He thinks he is the King of the Barn and no other horse is allowed to receive attention from his girl (now a woman) if he has anything to say about it! Here's a few photos to celebrate!

It’s mulberry pox season! The trees (and the ground) are loaded with mulberries. The horses love to chow down on them. Snippet also loves to roll in them until he looks like he has the purple pox!
