Saddle Up for the Gilbert Days Pony Express! 🐎
Calling all riders! It’s time for the annual Gilbert Days Pony Express ride on November 13th & 14th. Whether you're a new face or a returning veteran, we want you on the trail!
What you need to know:
• Signups & Fees: Due by October 24th.
• New Riders ($50): Includes a button-up long shirt, swag bag, and a free overnight horse stall at the Casa Grande Rodeo grounds.
• Returning Riders ($35): Includes a swag bag and a free overnight horse stall.
The Schedule:
• Friday, Nov 13th: Meet at Gilbert Regional Park at 7:00 am for swag and leg numbers. Swearing-in is at 8:00 am, with the first leg starting shortly after. We’ll end the day with dinner and a campout at the Casa Grande Rodeo grounds!
• Saturday, Nov 14th: Trailer out at 8:00 am to finish the ride, then head to the Florence Parade for a special presentation by the Town Hall Mayor.

If you haven't heard of the Pony Express the Gilbert Days Rodeo puts on a reenactment of riding horseback delivering mail from back in the 1800s. Friday, we start off getting sworn in by the postmaster in Gilbert then we start our first leg(1 leg is a mile) at the Gilbert Regional Park. I'll have a map of the legs when it gets closer. We will do 6 to 8 legs. We will end up at Horseshoe Park. Where will we trailer to Casa Grade
We will camp out at the rodeo grounds, you will have a stall for your horse and we will provide dinner. Saturday we start around 8 am to start our legs around 10 to 12 legs through Casa Grande and
Coolidge, and end in Florence for a small parade down Main Street. It will only be us in the parade, and hopefully, the townspeople will come out. We are doing a sock drive, and there will be a raffle basket for the winner. Each pair of socks gets you 1 ticket. You can walk trot or run your legs. We have a registration fee of $50 that includes a shirt and a goodie bag.
