Meet Sheri Rudy
Co-Founder of RudeDog Distillery 🐾🥃
If you’ve been following our journey, you’ve probably already gotten to know Sheri a little — she’s usually the one behind the posts, flavor ideas, names, merchandise and many of the little details that give RudeDog its personality.
Michigan has always felt like home to Sheri. Born in Flint with strong roots in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, life eventually took her from Michigan to Minnesota, then Wisconsin, where she met Dave. After marriage, kids, racing, a few moves and several years in Georgia, they made Mooresville home in December 2004.
After more than three decades together and plenty of unexpected adventures, somehow the next chapter became…
“Hey, what if we opened a distillery?” 😂
When RudeDog Distillery started taking shape, Sheri found herself loving the creative side of building the business and helping turn an idea into a brand that feels fun, welcoming and unmistakably RudeDog.
And yes… she has been known to love a name, change it, change it back and then ask everyone what they think one more time. 😂
For Sheri, RudeDog has always been about more than what’s in the glass. It’s about creating a place where everyone feels welcome — built around family, friendship, community, laughter, making memories and maybe a little attitude.
