Rest in Peace, Phillip Goodwin. 🕊️🙏🏾
Phillip wasn’t just a two-time state champion.. he was a great person with a personality you couldn’t forget.
I had the privilege of knowing Phillip beyond wrestling. He came down to Mat Masters to wrestle, attended our camps, and even came back afterward to work out and scrap with some of our guys.
When you spend enough time in this sport, you realize the wins, medals, and championships eventually become memories. What lasts is how you treated people and the impact you made while you were here.
Phillip made an impact.
I’ll always remember the wrestler, but even more than that, I’ll remember the person.
Rest easy, my friend. You will be missed, and you will always be remembered by the Mat Masters family. 🕊️
