Our Bridges course was established in 2001 and has three different and unique nines, The Champions, The Traditions, and The Masters - all three boast bentgrass greens. The sculpted fairways are lined with oak and pecan trees, with Spring Creek & Rowlett Creek meandering throughout. Golfers agree, any choice of nines provides the skillful golfer with a solid test. Our Old course consists of gently rolling terrain with slow moving streams winding throughout the course. Strategically placed bunkers and heavily wooded areas make this par 71 a challenge for all golfers. Our Lakes course is the toughest 18 of all, stretching 7,134 yards from the back tees - a tight, difficult test which carries over ten lakes and plenty of big-faced bunkers. It has a slope rating of 139 from the gold tees. Most Firewheel players say, "If the Bridges course has teeth, the Lakes course has fangs!"
The Branding Iron is our full-service restaurant, and is located in the Bridges clubhouse on Brand Road and is open to the public. The menu includes a delicious variety of foods from sandwiches to steak - and everything in between. Be sure to join us on Sundays for our not-to-be-missed brunch buffet from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Our Jerry Andrews Pavilion is an open air setting with an inspiring view of the beautiful Lakes course. Whether for tournament functions, parties, receptions, reunions, or any large group functions, we can accommodate up to 500 guests. Perched on a gentle slope, the Pavilion is spacious and spectacular. The facility has two air-conditioned and heated rooms on either side with a shaded outdoor patio. The pavilion is also a great central hub for use during tournaments. The Conference Room is located in the Bridges clubhouse, and is perfect for meetings for up to 20 guests. The quiet, private room is just around the corner from the Branding Iron Restaurant, and is great for lunch and dinner meetings or small occasions.
